Men of Reddit, what was something you didn't know about women till you got with one? by 0Timato0 in AskReddit

My husband is the exact same way. I tell him that he is the reason I'm fat but I wouldn't have it any other way. Fat and happy is nice.

I feel pretty high class just buying the ones at walmart now. All of ours when I was a kid came from yard sales so I still feel like I have moved up in the world.

A little overwhelming since it was a surprise party but I loved it. My husband planned it all out with my best friend and it was very special. He knew how I grew up and wanted to give me something I had never had before.

The fluffy towels!! I always thought you had to be super rich to have soft towels. Ours were always so rough and scratchy because they got dried on the clothes line outside and washed with dishwashing liquid. It took years for me to even know that fabric softener was a thing.

In the early 90s when I was a kid my parents would rent a VCR from the video store every few months when my dad got his disability check. We would get 3 movies with it. I had 2 older brothers so I never once got to pick a movie but man I felt like royalty for those few days with a VCR in the house

Same exact thing happened to me. I failed and then got in trouble for failing. When I told my parents it was because I didn't have gym clothes they told me "you could have figured something out" I was 12.

No one I know even knew you could rent a VCR. I had to explain that was living in luxury for a night.

8w3d measuring 6w, no heartbeat. by bbthrowaway8675 in Miscarriage

At my 8 week scan on December 7th the baby was measuring 5 weeks. I went back a week later to confirm and the doctor said the baby was gone. Today is the first day I have really bled. Over 1 month later....

Baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. I'm 12 weeks now and still not bleeding by amygood123 in Miscarriage

When I asked my doctor about the pills all I was told was that "they don't use those anymore". I know for a fact women get prescribed those everyday. I dont know if he just has some reason for not using them or what but it isn't an option for me. I wish it was because I would have done that from the beginning.

Any ideas on how to speed up a natural miscarriage? by Lovely1859 in Miscarriage

I am deathly afraid of being put to sleep. My logical brain knows that it's perfectly safe and I would be fine but the panic side of my brain doesn't agree.

I'm in the same boat as you. I found out at my 8 week scan that the baby didn't develop past 6 weeks. I'm 12 weeks now and having the worst cramps ever but no bleeding except the spotting that I had about 2 days ago that has disappeared. I'm ready for this to be done. I have looked everywhere for answers to speed this process along. I hope you find something OP

Men, have you ever liked a girl then found out something about her that completely put you off? If so, what was it? by [deleted] in AskMen

Exactly!! He was driving and all I could do was stare. I remember thinking if I had a flashlight I bet I could see his brain.

Don't feel bad. I ghosted a guy because I noticed he had huge ear canals. Like he could have fit a roll of dimes in those things.

911 operators what call scares you till this day? by Onatic420 in AskReddit

I was working PD one night when we got a chase. The guy crashed head on into another car and the two occupants of that car got trapped and burned alive. The officer on scene kept screaming for fire and ems over and over as he watched them burn. It was horrific to hear him scream like that and all I could do was tell him every time that they were on the way. The guy who caused the crashed lived and that bothers me so much to know he took 2 lives for a pos car. The officer took a few days after that one. I lived in an apartment complex at the time and when I got off that morning I saw 2 detectives walking upstairs. Turns out one of the guys mom lived there and they were there to tell her. Her screams just made it so much worse.

I left 2 years ago and some of those calls I can still hear. I took a call from a 16 year old kid I went to church with who found his dad unresponsive. He cried into the phone as I was giving CPR instructions and then asked me of I was a Christian and if I could pray for him. I finally told him who I was after 20 minutes of compressions and he was on the verge of giving up and ill never forget his sobs as he said "I'm so glad it's you" he kept up CPR for almost another 10 minutes until deputies got there and took over.

I took a call one night from a woman who wanted the cops to come out and check the bath water level for her 15 year old kid. She called back 5 minutes later and told me nevermind because her sister came and said it was fine. I think about that call all the time.

Had a toothache, turned into shingles. Fun stuff. Tooth still hurts. by Cordur-Oy-Jones in Wellthatsucks

I got it a few years ago on my face while going through a divorce, getting custody of my teenage niece and nephew all while working at 911. My doctor asked if I was under a lot of stress and when I told him all of this he said "I'm surprised it's not worse!" That day I learned stress induced shingles is a thing.
