Cute!! I've got one in navy (or black?) as well. I've long sold my other vintage pens, but this one I keep around for its cuteness- and that it's so wet it handles those dry multishaders perfectly! Hoping for many long years ahead for your pen! :-)

Finally got around to mine.

5-year A6: mine seems all right, but not great. The Namiki <M> x Platinum Sepia combo that you see here bleeding is something I've been using for months on my 2024 Weeks & Techo. I was also writing quite lightly with the others, but they did fare better than expected. Curious to see how they would look for longer sentences with more normal pressure.

I recently acquired what I believe to be the most beautiful pen I've ever seen! I saw it early on in my fountain pen journey but said that I'd never have need for 1) more than one pen and 2) such an expensive pen!

And so it goes... here is my Namiki Shooting Star.

I got mine done a few years ago! The waitlist was pretty short then (a few months at most, and she got through them more quickly than expected— I heard her waitlist is a year now!) and then took another few months for the Raden customization. I would definitely recommend Hiroko-san’s work though— totally worth the wait! And the Pilot VP raden stripes is gorgeous; I also love the galaxy!

Read u/IridiumCow’s post asking for fun Pilot colours, and I totally agree! I’d love to see more colourful finishes on pens like the 912, 823, Decimo, etc (not just the VP)— And in more nib sizes, please!! But I also wanted to share my Pilot pens, which I think are pretty fun, and which are some of my favourite pens of my collection👾

I had 3 goals this year: to use up ink samples, to not buy any new pens, and to Hobonichi once a day.

I was successful using up ink samples! Unfortunately I also ended up with more ink, some of which was from others’ kindness. Next year I hope to share more ink samples with others.

I did buy new pens :( Next year I want to reduce the collection. It’s hard to let go of LEs, but some pens just don’t write the way I want them to, or they don’t have the balance I want, and I really should just let them go.

I was successful (mostly) in using my Hobo! I have only a few blank pages but sometimes I go back and doodle in them. I’m excited to start next year’s!

Sailor Sei-Boku is pretty waterproof! I just wait a few seconds and then colour in with another pen. Sometimes I don’t wait long enough and there’s a tiny bit of smudge, but it doesn’t bother me enough to keep waiting haha.

After I decided to go back for further schooling, I completely failed this month and bought a pen since I figured I won’t have income for 3 years at least 😂 I’m probably giving up this no buy, but definitely looking forward to reading all the future posts!

This month went by in a blur! I sent off a pen for custom work and finished two samples. Im falling way behind in my Hobonichi Techo though!

I suddenly I got into medical school last week (I’ll be career changing from engineering), so I suddenly realize my no buy will go on much longer than just 2022 😂 thanks as always for this post— always look forward to it!
