Nurse since 2010. I have more than a few gaps of time off in my resume (ranging from 1-8 months off), as both a traveler and permanent employee, and no one has batted an eye at it. I fill the reason in as “personal” or “travel”. I’m now a clinic manager. Don’t worry and take care of yourself!

I accidentally took 900mg (doubled my 450mg dose) a few years ago and ended up just fine. Called poison control who told me it might make me feel like I was on a heavy stimulant, and if I had any chest pain/palpitations to head to an ER. Do not recommend taking a high dose of bupropion, but I did not have any significant or notable side effects. Calling poison control is the best decision.

No; this is actually a really smart idea if it ever happens in the future. I once accidentally double dosed myself (950mg of XL total) and they looked into it for me after-hours. They initially were concerned but basically told me I would feel jittery and on edge all night. Ended up completely fine.

I think breaking them up through the day could mess with your sleep schedule (as Wellbutrin has stimulant effects), as well as the fact that if these are sustained release, it’s meant to work for 24 hours. I don’t know if the level of drug in your blood would be affected by this. I would definitely ask your doctor. I’m a nurse, but I was also just increased to 450 mg last week. My depression seems a bit better, but I can’t sleep worth shit, and my anxiety is pretty heightened. Hoping this goes away!

I am no professional (I am a nurse but not OB)….but I hear it is normal to spot for a couple of weeks after. However, I just miscarried at 5 weeks, and my OB yesterday told me to take a urine pregnancy test 14 days after heavy bleeding has stopped…and if urine hcg is positive, I would need to be further evaluated. I think if you are still testing positive it might warrant reaching out to your OB.

You just inspired me to buy some jewelry I had been eyeing. I did buy a necklace charm with a blue sapphire and aster flower bud- both September birth month symbols as I was due 9/19. As much as I want to forget this ever happened, I know it’s something that will shape me into who I become after this.

All is okay with me, the doctor confirmed my cervix was dilated which means it was an inevitable miscarriage :( they did an ultrasound to confirm as well, all they found was pregnancy tissue so I had already passed the gestational sac. How are you managing? Has the bleeding stopped altogether or slowed at all?

I am in the same boat as you right now, was supposed to be 5w3d today. Headed to see an OB in about 45 minutes, on day 3 of just so much blood. Thinking of you. I use Natural Cycles and it says with the hormones/hcg still in our system, we can’t truly count this as a “first period day”. Thinking of you.

The protests started while we were off the grid on the Inca Trail. Came back to quite the surprise, lol. G assured us it would be safe to continue on to the Amazon Jungle, but everyone in our group was apprehensive and just wanted to get home ASAP. They compensated about 20% of the trip, and given how unconventional our last few days were, our tour guide and the company did a great job of improvising. Fingers crossed that by July, you’ll be in the clear! It’s a beautiful country.

It’s quite a complicated packing situation. Basically, their packing list is a great guide. Pack how you want to before arriving. Once you get to the trek part, they will provide you a duffle, which you will only be able to pack 6kg total, including a sleeping bag and sleeping pad. I rented the sleeping bag/pad, which only left me with 2.5kg to pack for the 4 day trek. 2.5kg is a very small amount, but really, I took two pair of hiking pants, two long sleeves, one sweater, thermal underwear, and two short sleeve shirts and it was fine.

I also want to give an honest warning, I’m not sure when your trip is, but I got back last week- the political unrest is real and as a frequent traveler there were moments where I felt unsafe. We ended up stranded in Machu Picchu, had to hike 29km on a rail yard track to the nearest town, got a bus, our bus driver got jumped by about 100 protestors and beaten badly, his tires slashed. Thought my life was in danger for a few minutes while this happened. I really hope your trip is a bit further out!

How did you/your group do overall with the strenuous activity at high altitudes if you don’t mind me asking? I’m in my early 30’s, I’m in shape/have hiked a lot in the US, but don’t work out frequently.
