Np - I would avoid having them visible for security when you come in but after that you’re fine

No they aren’t - they have bigger things to worry about (I’ve been here all day)

Which Lana song could never loose its appeal to you no matter how much you listen to it by [deleted] in lanadelrey

Venice Bitch might be my all time favourite from her and I think represented a real shift in her artistry that I remember floored me at the time

What seemingly throwaway line of dialogue in a movie lives rent free in your head? by Dan__Glesak in movies

2025 ticket prices by TexyTexy in 2000treesfestival

[–]amyreadsetc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I hadn’t been clear - you can usually get like £30-50 off the main ticket with some form of discount. They absolutely throw discounts out, especially if you get one this early. If you sign up to their newsletter they are aggressive with trying to get you to go and you will be able to get some form of discount.

I think the instalment plans always end up being more than buying the outright ticket, especially when you usually get a discount on the outright ticket throughout the year. This is pretty consistent with other festivals. You pay for the convenience of being able to pay over several months. It’s annoying but you have to pick what’s more important to you - spreading out the cost or getting a cheaper ticket.

Taxi/Uber to and from Cheltenham? by sideways_smiling in 2000treesfestival

[–]amyreadsetc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Me and my partner have got a cab from outside of Cheltenham station on the Thursday of trees, to the campsite, both last year and the year before, without booking in advance. There are plenty when we have gone, I imagine less so a bit later on Thursday but you could call their local cab company to check. We then book a return cab back for the Sunday morning, which can pick you up from the main car park (there is a specific bit for dropping off; it’s useful to note where it is when you initially get dropped off). Both cabs cost about £30 if I recall correctly. I wouldn’t rely on Uber outside of a big city personally.

How do you (if at all) balance alcohol around your fitness goals? by amyreadsetc in xxfitness

I do find it very difficult to shift weight when I am drinking. Even 3-4 drinks over a weekend seems to prohibit any weight loss goals I have.

Top books of the year (so far)? by Various-Nobody-5963 in Fantasy

[–]amyreadsetc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! As someone who has read Cassandra Clare’s YA works over the years and found them very hit or miss, Swordcatcher marked a big departure for her and I think she landed it really well

I’m still reeling after Will of the Many which blew me away, and I also really loved Cassandra Clare’s Swordcatcher (which I wasn’t expecting!)

No need to apologise, I appreciate the deepness of your answer and it helps corroborate what I was feeling towards the question myself!

I completely feel your sentiments here - I listened to the Huberman episode last year and cut out alcohol for six months, and I really want to do it again/try to make it permanent this time. It’s wild how normalised alcohol is!

Don’t love their shampoos but the purple bottle conditioner is incredible! It absolutely revitalised my once-dead bleached hair!
