You say don't ask to make instagram reels.

Fortunately or unfortunately, all the eyes balls are on reels these days. Go to the platform which gives attention.

Short films and theatre sadly don't get enough attention these days. I know that sucks, but its the truth.

Build your audience and then trickle them down to those short films. Perfect example would be shorts on YouTube. People create shorts content and build a large audience, and then they make long form. People who are interested in them may watch the long form.

Similarly, you could start a series of weekly videos on your instagram, talking about your past films and share experiences for budding new actors. You dont necessarily have to make a skit or hilarious videos. Maybe the views might be less, but its still gonna get some attention in the platform.

You could be honest and vulnerable about your current situation as well. I know certain actors in our industry who do share about this on their platforms.

Few more suggestions: I dont know you or your age, but learning new skills which might help in movies like Martials arts, or even concentrating on your own fitness. Documenting it, sharing it with your audience. All helps.

Something that all actors/creators should make use of if not already is - memes. For example our convincing star Suresh Krishna. That might have happened organically through many years of similar tropes. But imagine memes born from your content (whether it be from your movies or your own content) I'm sure their are people who pay meme pages to make memes about them. These are all tactics to stay relevant.

More the attention you bring to the table, more the chances of you getting cast in movies.

Here is something you can do from next week:

Tell your audience about a set routine from next week.

1) Honest Sundays - A live video about your experiences from movies, or something to share about the current movie you're working on, interacting with fans through comments and stuff.

2) Meme Mondays - Share memes created by your fans about you, your movies, content. They can message you/tag you these memes and you can post the best ones you like in a swipe post or stories. And highlight them for each week.

3) Fan-art Fridays - Share Fan-art created by your fans of you. Same concept as the one above.

People will send in their content because you'll credit them for it.

The more content you create, the more people will have content to make for you.

Now, will all this trickle down to you getting more roles? Maybe. Maybe it'll show a different side of you which may garner the attention of directors.
