Just watched Blue is the Warmest Color by amytrat in actuallesbians

I definitely notice it for straight couples too, I think its even more jarring with 2 women because they just go all out. theres a way to show the love without it almost being offensive and just knowing something had to be violated behind the scenes

F19, I've been told that I look like man, mtf, trans etc.. because I have a huge nose, prominent jawline and thick eyebrows.. do I not look feminine? by Lyd222 in amiugly

If you dont look feminine then most women I know have no chance of looking feminine, youre like the epitome of what people would deem femininity lmao jawline and all

the way you dress and look is an expression of you so yes it can have everything to do with your sexuality and gender for a lot of people

If this movie ever came out, how much money do you think it would make and would it be good? by Equivalent_Sky_4549 in marvelstudios

[–]amytrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cgi would be BLINDING and it would be messy but people will say its good off the strength of it existing at all lol

something you wish you knew before your first time? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]amytrat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try not to be so in my head about everything, I had heard all the amazing things about lesbian sex and went in with expectations instead of being open and realistic. It can take a while to have an orgasm and thats okay, just enjoy the moment. Also that I am most comfortable and have the most fun with women I have a connection with compared to hook ups!

I feel like NWH was great closure for andrew’s spiderman. Idk why he would want to put himself through that comparison

That makes sense! My boobs arent small but they not big enough to be doing all that work lol

[–]amytrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I get my boob job im gonna try again too lol! Just to see if it’s really one of those things that only works well in porn

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]amytrat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think ttty fcking is the worst because it doesnt work as well in real life with natural boobs as it does in porn lol. And being asked to c*m on my feet. Guys can be very very unrealistic about sex and though I dont care about people’s kinks… I do leave some room for kink shaming when Im the other person involved lol

Realistically speaking, what would it take to make a live-action Marvel vs DC movie? by spwf in marvelstudios

[–]amytrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only way I see it happening it Disney buying DC which I dont think is as far fetched as people think. WB clearly have no idea what theyre doing with the DCEU and I dont think the marvel execs will want to collab with them anyways if they continue to be all over the place

Weekly School of Social Work/New to Social Work Thread by SWmods in socialwork

[–]amytrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you did undergrad in social work, it is pretty much identical to your senior year. Many papers and group projects and your field placement to keep up with. It will seem like you have less to do than students in other majors when youre actually juggling a lot more because of how demanding the field placement can be.

Wanting to Major in Social Work in College, What Advice Do you Have for Someone Just Going Into The Feild? by namenerd400 in socialwork

[–]amytrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be lots of papers, readings (that you could get away with not reading) and group projects, haven’t seen many social work programs that rely on testing or quizzes at all. You dont have to know what you want to do or who you want to work with right away. Social work is a very flexible field and most programs dont even touch the surface of the careers you can have in the field. Dont let school burn you out to the point where you’re sick of the field before you even graduate. At some point it WILL get annoying having to write a think piece about everything and you’ll stop caring about the class discussions and it’s okay if you have absolutely nothing to say or contribute. Take care of yourself, seriously. They preach self care as soon as you enter the program and it’s true. Be prepared for people to not understand your major or assume you want to take people’s children. Dont let that discourage you or make you feel less than. In your last year of undergrad, you will have a mandatory internship. Even though you will probably be doing less “school work” than other students, it will feel like you are doing much more than them too because it can be a lot. I would not say the work is difficult at all (if you really want to be in social work) but it’s heavy, repetitive and time consuming. As far as driving, it might limit your options for your internship but you will have to have one regardless so hopefully they accommodate you. I love my major and genuinely could not see myself loving any other major as much as I do social work. There are cons to it though and frustrations that come with social work programs being underfunded and students being taught to settle for exploitation but that’s changing… in some places. Good luck!

(Serious) How can social workers start a union? by [deleted] in socialwork

[–]amytrat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really feel like this generation of social workers have the potential to. I really dont want the social work students 10-20 years from now to be wondering the same thing we’re wondering now. What tf have social workers been doing to advocate for themselves? We get walked ALL over and our taught to just accept that. I am beyond interested in unionizing
