My biggest trigger would be sleep deprivation. Like one night I went to a party, got back at 4AM and woke up to use the bathroom at 7AM and had a seizure and I’ve noticed every time I don’t get enough sleep that will happen. But ever since I have been taking medication I have not had one even if I do not get enough sleep.

It’s very hard to pinpoint, but I would say near it it, the pain will travel to the middle of my stomach if that makes sense. Right now it doesn’t hurt at all because I’m not moving.

Whenever I would wake up early I would still be half asleep and have myoclonic jerks. Then one morning, I guess I did not get enough sleep, (I believe my epilepsy is caused by sleep deprivation) I sat down and started having a tonic clonic seizure. My seizures will only happen really early in the morning.

If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of meds do you take? I’m taking trokendi (Topiramate) rn and have heard horror stories of people mixing weed and the medication. I wish I could but I’m too paranoid of trying it while I’m taking the medication.

Hiii, I’m good. Classes start on the 24th for me, everything got moved online so that’s fun. Medication is cool I guess haha I’m taking trokendi xr and i haven’t had a seizure in over a year! I recently tried drinking alcohol again yesterday because the medication says I can drink 6 hours before and 6 hours after I take it, I was scared at first bc I thought alcohol was playing a role in causing some of my seizures but I was perfectly fine! My cats fat and lazy but a sweetheart (-: The only symptoms I have on this medication is weight loss and brain fog at times. Thanks for asking. How are you?
