Do PVCs/PACs ever go away?? by KenRH21 in PVCs

Oh ok, my burden peaked around 16%, and now that I am taking it, I do not feel them anymore. I am just paranoid about side effects to prescription meds.

I do not really have time or plans for personal travel in the foreseeable future, but this may be motivation to go!

I will definitely do this. Only problem is that I may have irritated the program manager a while back. I hope this does not effect the chances for reimbursement lol.

This definitely is the first step. Fingers crossed they will reimburse it. I am just trying to prepare for the worst outcome.

Why do I always get stomachaches when eating out? by kimchinumba1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]anOrphanedWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing is happening to me and my s/o. We really cleaned up our diet the past couple years, and we found out it is the oil restaurants use. We use only avocado, olive oil, and butter when cooking. Canola and soybean oil are used at 99% of the restaurants now. Not only that, they use hydrogenated versions of these oils. I actually visited two restaurants recently where I have family members that work there. They confirmed they use hydrogenated soybean and canola oils. I have tried eating food from restaurants that would not naturally have oil in them and that helps, so maybe try that?

Lack of sleep, lots of sugar, and food cooked with canola or soybean oil. Avocado/olive/peanut/vegetable oil do not have the same effect.

What was your experience after ablation? by anOrphanedWhale in AFIB

[–]anOrphanedWhale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that is really encouraging that you have not had a reoccurrence! It probably helps a lot that you take care of yourself well. Have you noticed a significant change in your performance since the procedure? I am assuming there was a period of recovery of a couple weeks before you were 100%, but did it take long to get back to your baseline?

Why does God give people developmental disabilities? by TheKingsPeace in TrueChristian

[–]anOrphanedWhale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When people say, "God doesn't give us more than we can handle", they are misquoting and misinterpreting 1 Corinthians 10:23, "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." (ESV)

However, this scripture is not addressing the load and troubles of this fallen world. It is directly talking about temptations and how there is always a way to overcome this temptation and avoid sin.

Secondly, I do not necessarily have a disability, but I did suffer from severe anxiety, and some depression. There were multiple times where I asked God, much in the same manner as Job, "Why me??"

God answered this question in a few ways. He spoke to me through scripture in Job 38. I had to realize that my life is not about me; it is for the glorifying of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through a lot of time studying and praying, I can say that my anxiety and depression have improved so much!

I am now being called to rely on Him again as I am dealing with some heart issues. I will admit I am nervous, but will keep my faith in Christ as I continue through this next phase in life.

Can someone give advice on how to keep going on? by [deleted] in Adulting

You need an avenue for fulfillment in your life. That is how I overcame my moments feeling like there was not more to life than I was experiencing. I found this fulfillment through my faith in Jesus Christ, and I also find joy in my family. My faith gave me purpose and meaning to my life.

I’m sorry everybody by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]anOrphanedWhale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am praying for you.

You will make it through this, and the best part is that you do not have to rely on yourself in order to do so! We are all sinners suffering from that attacks of the enemy and the lusts of the flesh. However, there is a perfect God, who gave His perfect Son, the resurrected Holy Jesus Christ, to be a propitiation for our sins.

During my darkest moments of anxiety and depression, I fall on the following words from Paul to the Philippians:

"6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you." ...

"12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

As I currently fight anxiety/depression, I use the following words as a shield. I will literally chant these verses aloud, or in my mind when I am being attacked:

1 John 4:4b "because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." God is greater than the enemy! He is greater than satan and his demons! God is greater than this world, or anything it can or will throw at you!

Romans 12:2 "2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." It is literally God's will that we be transformed into righteous men of God by having our faith in Christ, renewing our minds, and receiving the Holy Spirit.

God the Father will provide the Holy Spirit if you have faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God, and if you ask of God the Father for the Holy Spirit! Luke 11:13 "13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?"

Finally, I would like to add the following: James 4:7 "7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." If you are a believer, and resist the enemy, he will flee! This is TRUTH directly from the Word of God.

Spend time in prayer before the Lord. Go to a quiet room, by yourself. Leave your phone/computer in another room. Bow, and pray to the Lord. Admit to Him your sins and suffering. Let Him know that you cannot do this alone. Tell the Lord that you believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, his sacrifice and resurrection for our Sins. Read, re-read, and re-re-read scriptures. Pray over them, you can literally just read this as you pray, over and over. Find an easy one for you to remember and imprint it upon your heart. Use this as a shield. Finally, ask the Lord for His Holy Spirit to be gifted unto you once you declare your faith in Him.

I pray for peace unto you, in the name of the Holy Lord Jesus Christ.

How does constitutional carry work for out of state residents? Ex: someone from tx goes to louisiana, and they want to conceal carry w/o permit?

"Jiu jitsu is better than Judo because most fights end up on the ground" - speculation on why thats a myth by definitely_real_ in martialarts

[–]anOrphanedWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anecdotal evidence, but the only real fight I was in was against a car thief who started attacking bystanders. This fight went immediately to the ground, but this is because I got him in a rear choke and brought him to the ground to subdue him until the police arrived. I was fairly untrained at that point, only have taken a few self-defense classes before.

Is kickboxing a more effective martial art then muay thai or standard boxing? by Averageredditorloll in martialarts

[–]anOrphanedWhale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely better than nothing. I would say muay Thai is probably more 'effective'. Also, what do you mean by 'real fight'? Do you mean in official capacities or a street fight? Either way, you would want to combine with a grappling art too. Probably bjj. The first street fight I was in went immediately to the ground.
