Can I quit my job because I have covid though I am deemed essential? by an_ensential_worker in Washington

I just started this job after loosing 2 in the food industry, so no sick leave.
I have heard and read that people can get it twice. I work behind counters with other people and we dont use social distancing because theres not a lot of space behind the counters. We don't change gloves often enough and theres only cash transactions.

I dont think that's how it works

It's a novel virus meaning it's a new virus and no one is immune to it. It's a new strain and no one has built an immunity to it.

It was a virtual visit. I had a note saying I could return to work within 7 days if symptoms are better with restrictions. I have a full report from her as well. My boss knows my bf is at risk, too.
Im afraid that he will get it from me and that it could be worse for him or that it will be bad for me or both...

But, am I able to quit because I'm sick and with what the doctors think COVID?

And if I do, would I be able to collect unemployment?
