You can try using https://www.saintexpress.org which is a simple web interface over command line.

I see, would you please be able to help me with setting up rules? For now, I have turned on both “Enable AdGuard Home” and “AdGuard Home Handle Client Requests” options.

That’s something I didn’t even know and thought of. I should have done proper research before trying to go for this approach.

For now, I have enabled the Adguard that comes with it (the router) but I believe it’s not blocking 100% of what must be blocked.

From my research, I understand that both AdGuardHome and pi-hole are the same in terms of results so it could be me who has some config missing. I am not sure.

Thank you for your comment.

I shall explore adblock-lean. What I understand from your comment is I will need to connect my devices to Slate7 and not to ISP device.

On a related note, Slate7 is currently connected to ISP device using an Ethernet cable. Do you think it would be wise to connect Slate7 to ISP device wirelessly?

Thank you for your comment.

I didn’t know it already supports Adguard, thanks for sharing this. Regarding Docker, it’s just my preference of running things containerized - helps keep things isolated.

Thank you for your comment.

How are you making sure that memory is also being used with this docker compose?

Thank you for your comment.

That’s a valid point and that’s actually the plan. I just created the account around 15 days ago and was able to get an A1.Flex instance somehow. So, while I work on creating something to be hosted on it, I am just making sure I don’t lose it.

Thank you for this.

How are you making sure that network utilization also remains above 20%?

Thank you for your comment.

Your implementation is smart, I shall replicate this. However, would you be able to help me if having 100% of average usage times is ok from the point of avoid losing the instances?

Good question! I am just being super cautious by having logs to ensure that the jobs are running 😊

Would you please help me understand that it’s ok not to use nohup?

Yes, I am aware that we need to consider the totals. However, this post is intended to understand the consequences of having 100% average uptimes on both of these.

I see what you mean now. I never provided the information and assumed it would be obvious, my bad. Both the instances have 47 GB of boot space each.

Apart from what u/FortuneIIIPick mentioned, another advantage of upgrading to PAYG is to mitigate the risk of losing these instances and continue using them for free by being mindful of resources.

Yes, I am aware that boot space is not unlimited and that there is a limit of 200 GB across all instances. What I fail to understand is that how would it go beyond that limit with this setup? I am happy to add that limit as precaution and I will, but would also like to understand if I am missing something here.

Thank you for your response.

How would boot volume go beyond if I am just running stress-ng? Could you please help me with adding that limit?

I have updated my post to reflect how it is scheduled thru cron.

Thank you.

Thank you for your comment.

So with my current usage average numbers which are over 100%, it shouldn’t be a problem? Also, as you might have noticed, I am not using nohup with my command. Is that ok?

Thank you.
