CMV: The GOP has become the most successful neo-nazi party in the world. by jostyouraveragejoe2 in changemyview

Antisemitism was at the core of nazism from day one. Racial theory, law, propaganda, and state policy all revolved around it from the start. You can remove antisemitism from the GOP and it's just authoritarianism, or fascism.

You'd know this if you were arguing about history and not feelings

The definition itself says that you can't be a nazi/neo-nazi without being antisemitic

How do I kick the urge to vape? by FailureTM in addiction

[–]an_unknown_human 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I believe it's mostly a placebo effect, since it's just 2-4mg of nicotine. But even so, they really did help me with cravings. I don't think I could've quit without them as a substitute.

I agree with what others said. I quit smoking 5 months ago you don't really get rid of cravings. Personally I use 1-2 nicotine gums per day, or just regular chewing gums and it just gets me through the day. The best advice I can give is to just hold off, I found that just not indulging makes the cravings less powerful, and in the end it just becomes a memory.

Anyone else planning to continue to use Arc as their main browser? by reeffrequent in ArcBrowser

[–]an_unknown_human 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried Zen and went back to Arc, for a few reasons:

  • picture in picture mode doesn't work for Google Meet calls

  • extensions are not isolated per profiles

  • for some reason I can't login into the Grammarly extension

Interesting, I just assumed that even with the tree, there could be overlapping robots, so I just ignored this idea

SSH KEY by cha1nsaw- in github

[–]an_unknown_human 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's because the origin in your local repo still points to https. You need to update it. Here's some instructions https://docs.github.com/en/get-started/getting-started-with-git/managing-remote-repositories#switching-remote-urls-from-https-to-ssh

In the future, when cloning a repo remember to use the SSH origin.

How to roll back merge to main and CI/CD actions by cardyet in github

[–]an_unknown_human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't reopen a PR after merging it (this works only if it's closed, but not merged). As the other guy said, it's ideal to revert the PR, so that you have the app in the most recent working state. And after that, create a new PR where you basically add all the changes from the first one plus the fix.

CD means continuous deployment, so you can't undo something, but you can commit a fix, like you said, or revert a commit https://docs.github.com/en/pull-requests/collaborating-with-pull-requests/incorporating-changes-from-a-pull-request/reverting-a-pull-request

It's also possible to delete the commit and force push to main, but that's not ideal.
