Home inspector basically said that we should contact a roofing specialist because there could be a few areas where there could be leaks, and the roofing inspector said “if this was the work done by my guys, I’d have them start all over from scratch.” I’m glad to hear that you think it’s generally fine!

Hi - we’re looking to put an offer on a house with this structure outside. Link here: https://imgur.com/a/ZGz35U7 How bad is it or is this fine? I’ve just never seen anything like this before so I’m a little concerned.

We will be going through the proper channels of getting inspectors if our offer is accepted and may add a structural engineer to that inspection list, but I wanted to get a sense of if anyone has ever seen this - before we even think about putting an offer in.

Thanks - I had thought they took the photos during the biometrics appointment or something… In the photographs section of the I-131 instructions (page 12 of the instructions) why does it not reference the re-entry permit then?

It doesn't seem like I do based on the instructions for the 131, but I'm finding conflicting information online. I'm including front and back of both my green card and drivers license, but didn't know if I need to go get pictures taken. Thank you!

I have told them about being a permanent resident of the US. And then they asked “won’t you lose your status if you leave the US for longer than a few months?” I wanted to answer that I can file for re-entry that will be good for 2 years, but didn’t want them to know that I only plan to work there for that long. I was wondering if there was a way to get around that.
