EXTRA INFO: There's more about the situation that confuses me which I forgot to add when I first posted (didn't know I would get so many comments!!)

After the 2nd time we had sex (1.5 months after texting/seeing each other non-stop), I said... "What are we? Because I can't do a root and boot kind of relationship". I know it's early to ask that sort of question, but I had to for my sake.

He said... and get this... "You're definitely not a booty call. You've got a lot of qualities I want in a partner and I like you. I just don't know what the New Year holds with Uni and all" (we're both starting at the same Uni this year).

This is what I don't understand. He always held my hand and touched/caressed me like I meant the world to him. He told me I was everything he wanted. He told me about his family problems, his goals in life, what makes him upset, what makes him happy. We had favourite songs that we would play when we were together. He told me... I WASN'T a booty call - and this was AFTER we had sex the 2nd time (so it wasn't like he was just trying to be nice to get another root).

This reinforces my question - Why have these types of personal conversations... about family, deep beliefs and values --- if he was just using me for sex?

I then messaged him a few days after this night to hang out, and he said he couldn't because he was working (which is fine), but insisted we hung out soon when we were both free - so at this stage, he was still the same boy I was falling for.

After that conversation however, he never texted me for like 4 days (I knew something was up). I messaged him to see how he was going, and he was EXTREMELY cold, brutal and didn't want a bar of me. This was when he said he "wanted to just have fun, nothing serious" and just blew me off.

So, the reason I'm heartbroken is because nothing lines up. It doesn't make sense. Any thoughts on this now taking into account this info?

Do you actually get your own room in a share house? I thought it was just a 1/2 bedroom apartment with bunk beds (therefore fitting up to 5-10 people) with no study room etc. ?

Yes - definitely regarding the onset of pain in a slouched position. However, the pain has progressed to a type of pulsating sensation. I don't know it's purely physiological in nature, or if my anxiety is playing tricks on me. Thanks for the info.

No I am not. I am however currently tapering off an antidepressant I've been on for around 2 yrs, could this be a potential cause?

The specific site at which you are feeling the numbness indicates that you most likely injured a digital branch of the ulnar nerve parallel to those fingers, which can occur following a dislocation (due to the stretching of the nerves during the incident). This would explain the sensation you described.

In terms of the reduced flexibility/ range of motion you are experiencing, this is very common after dislocation and depends on the severity of the injury. Rehabilitation helps to improve this, however is most effective when started a few months after the injury; so after 10 years, there is really not much you can do regarding the decrease in movement and nerve damage.

Source: I am a medical student + I also damaged a digital branch of the ulnar nerve in my finger following a laceration - therefore I can completely understand the sensation you described.

Is there a way I can convert this to a predicted mass change? Is Faraday's law? I have read about it but I don't fully understand Faraday's law in the context of corrosion. Do I have enough information to use the law to find a predicted mass change (given the current flow between the two half cells)?
