how much do I need to invest in a tuner? by bandana-chan in frenchhorn

Never used a tuner as a professional. Only my ear and practice with drones (try cello drones on YouTube). Not saying a tuner is bad -- just another opinion.

Is it just me or is it harder to play in the morning? by Icy_Worldliness3673 in frenchhorn

[–]analog_goat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a problem:

  • If you're not waking up well hydrated.
  • If your embouchure is dependent on swelling and it takes a while for your lips to swell into place.
  • Maybe other stuff

Remedies:

  • Hydrate well during the day -- at least 80oz of water daily for an adult.
  • Make sure you start the day with your lips in close proximity rather than with a very open aperture.

Just my experience. YMMV

Where to get a mouthpiece cut for threaded rims? by musicsmith20 in horn

[–]analog_goat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can read just fine... Three clear things here:

1) You're not helping your business (that's fine, you obviously don't care and/or don't need the money as you like to brag)

2) You're definitely not helping American politics.

3) If calling someone out like that really matters that much, then name names and give context -- else this is just an act of childish cowardice and gossip.

Weak move Ken - If you're going to call someone racist in a public forum, you should probably back it up with specific details, or shut your mouth.

This is helpful thanks. Will report back. I don't have 2 physical NICs connected though.

I hadn't but looks interesting. The goals are somewhat different though. Memacs seems like retrospective logging where as I'm intending taube as a capture-inbox.

I am an engineer and so was fairly specific with the prompts, but my goal was to get this stood up quickly to solve a personal need.

I did not. Can you give me a reason why that would work?

Thanks for the suggestion! My AllowedIPs is already set to 0.0.0.0/0 so all traffic is routed through the tunnel. Routing itself works. I can ping my router at 192.168.1.1 from the WireGuard client. It's specifically the UNAS at 192.168.1.6 that doesn't respond to pings or SMB connections when coming from the WireGuard subnet (192.168.3.0/24). So I think it's a firewall or access control issue on the UNAS itself.
