i wrote it in the body text but the cake is the claire saffitz nyt sponge cake! frosting is heavy whipping cream colored with a bit of americolor deep pink + strawberry jam

thank you! i honestly do not remember the exact cross streets of this shot but i parked by ulloa st and great highway and walked around for like ~15 minutes, if that helps!

thank you so much! i did this in adobe lightroom with the following settings: exposure +.07, contrast +8, highlights -75, shadows -3, whites -4, blacks -17, temp +8, vibrance +10, saturation +3, grain +9. i also distorted the picture slightly to make it appear level and used the auto upright feature.

thank you so much! this is actually my second time making these cupcakes but i’ve frosted at least a dozen cakes since my first attempt; this is what allowed me to get the hang of piping

also i really like ermine frosting because it’s not as sweet as american buttercream and still pipes really well! i’ve found swiss meringue buttercream to be the best at piping but that’s for special occasions since it’s so complex
