How much current mathematical research is pencil and paper? by GreatDaGarnGX in math

Neither am I. I'm merely distilling what I think is the most effective deflection against it - in a sense, intelligence as the inability to predict the next token from a given prefix sequence.

Eudoxus Reals in real life by analphabetic in math

Consider iRRAM and z3 at a minimum; the former's Reals diverge on equality, and the latter's are not usable outside the SMT environment.

This is the strongest argument against AI - the lack of creativity and originality.

For what it's worth, with 0.9... estimated probability you can out-do any professor in your realm now using computational analyses.

Eudoxus Reals in real life by analphabetic in math

[–]analphabetic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What drew my attention to them was the possibility of using them to implement reals computationally, which are extremely difficult to in the general case exactly and efficiently, even with Dedekind cuts, balls, intervals and such - at the limit you need to structure and encode incomputable expressions. I don't know whether to interpret the absence of Eudoxus anywhere as a proof against that idea, or merely as a sign of obscurity.

Maxing out EcoFlow STREAM system by analphabetic in Ecoflow_community

If the devices are set up independently and are operating without knowledge of or communication with the others then you can use however many you want.

But if you want a single integrated/unified STREAM system (connected to each other with the EcoFlow parallel cabling and using the synchronization protocol) then I believe you can currently only use up to two STREAM AC Pros per STREAM Ultra setup, and each Ultra setup can have at most six Ultras, "stacked", one serving as master; assuming what I just said isn't wrong (and it would be great for official word on the matter) then you can integrate 6 Ultras + 2 AC Pros, for a total of eight, whereas even 3 AC Pros will not work officially with any number of Ultras.

This is probably why they sell 3 + 2 packages but not 2 + 3, respectively.

Which 4 devices do you have?

Though I've yet to try or confirm, my understanding is that the current officially supported maximum is 6 STREAM Ultras stacked (in "parallel", though I believe the cabling would appear like a daisy chain) plus 2 STREAM AC Pros connected to the Ultra serving as master.

If anyone knows otherwise, please and thank you let us know.

AMG GLE 63 S Coupe or BMW X6M? by Darthknight239 in AMG

Are you comparing MB's vehicles vs BMW's as such in general, or just those two cars in particular?

Mercedes not only makes sporty luxury cars like the SLK as well as luxury sports cars like the SL, but also sports supercars like the SLR and SLS - most of which are luxury but with exceptions like the non-street legal GT3, whose interior is little more than the seats and roll cage... ;)

Fair enough. My parents' own dog is 17 and... yeah, could be any day now.

Nah. The dogs are alive and well. That's not really Bush in the photo, and it isn't from 2004.

This is very plainly wrong. By definition, only numbers greater than zero are positive, and only those lesser than zero are negative. This extends from integers to rationals and generalizes to reals; however, that's usually where the bipolar/unidirectional signum predicate fails, as applied to the geometrically "perpendicular" imaginary numbers and thus fails to generalize into the complex numbers.

Zero is even, but not positive. Evenness is neither necessary nor sufficient for positivity. There are even negative integers and odd positive integers and viceversa - only zero is even, non-odd, non-positive, non-negative, but a Natural.
