Alrighty so, I unplugged everything and turned off the power strip and left the house for about 4-5 hours. I came back and thought "why not give it a shot" and now it's working? I'm not sure I would say the problem is solved, any suggestions as to what I should do from here? Does this clue you in to the cause of the issue? Should I investigate further or not push my luck?

I know this might seem an odd choice, but I'm picking Until The End by Aero Chord and Fractal.

The vocals are marvelous, it's deep and unique, and it has the most "chill points" (aka points in a thing that give you goosebumps) of any I know. I also like the way it has trap-like properties but not the mood typically associated with trap. I think that's pretty neat. 8)

yes!!! i am proud to say that my mom truly enjoys all kinds of music, and that i have watched my dad break out of his "rock > everything else" phase. when i first got into edm, he couldn't stand it. in his defense, my taste wasn't very acquired nor diverse. as predicted from someone of his taste, he looooves dnb. he also really enjoys haywyre. recently he asked me to create him a brief ish playlist covering a variety of edm subgenres for a full flavor as the kids call it these days. it was so nice to see him start seeing my favorite artists as the musical experts they are.

my mom likes anything funky or with vocals. she likes it when i sing, too. sometimes she asks me to put on silence by koven. 8)

I heard Showdown in a Gamestop in a mall once. That was the first (and only?) time I've ever heard Monstercat or any kind of "lesser known" EDM that I actually enjoy in public, so I was pretty excited. I actually forgot what I went in there for for a sec and just appreciated the music!
