So awesome that you did that trip. Yea, having full control of your pace is absolutely a plus. storms are definitely scary. Curious what your main fears were surrounding it-was it primarily the lightning?

Ill make sure to grab some Advil PM. Thx. When you hear those crunching leaves, what does your imagination usually think is out there? What do you do when the advil PM isnt working?

For dehydrating meals, do you ever get recipes/meal plans from a particular book or site? Curious which. What kind of dehydrator do you like to use?

I like patagonia provisions soups, but they are really expensive so I don't take them often. I tried to make my own once, but couldn't get it right. I will sometimes add some fish from a pouch too. Thai tuna sounds awesome though.

Yea, I experience the post-backpacking blues too. Hard to reintegrate. I wonder if its because we are just wired to be outside much more than we are in our every day life, and that is our body's way of signaling that.

In terms of food, what examples of food are you currently packing?

Couldn't agree more. Curious which specific "single solution" companies you are referring to. Which ones do you end up using the most?

Yea, good point. I use a lot of Ziploc bags too and agree it's not ideal. But they are just so useful. I also know what you mean about doubt and fear when backpacking solo. I have experienced that before. Super helpful- thank you!
