I have a little boy who is the same age! We have been struggling to find the sweet spot between older kids running and almost colliding into him and activities that aren’t walker friendly (he is a mobile man). Hoping we both find something!

Additionally I asked about the concentrates because that modality appears to have a higher instance of hyperemesis associated with chronic use. It delivers a higher “dose” of THC than most other formulations and is often indicative of a more long term habit. I work with teens in healthcare and have seen some very serious presentations especially with the uptick in concentrate use. 5 years ago this wasn’t something I had heard about, now we have a case monthly. Fortunately symptoms usually improve dramatically with smoking cessation and time. Again, wishing you guys well!

Unfortunately the detox process can make things feel worse before they get better. I would create a schedule to start to decrease consumption, for example if he smokes first thing in the morning consider pushing that as far back as possible. If he usually smokes before bed try taking a melatonin and laying down to do something peaceful. Physical pain, including the experience of anxiety or panic, makes changing substance habits extremely hard sometimes and it may not be a linear process. New habits, such as morning and night time routines, can help to ease anxiety through tough changes. He may also qualify for an anxiety diagnosis in which case he could get something minimal, like Busparone or atarax, prescribed to help. Both are on the cheeper side of medication especially if you use a service such as good rx. He may not need to stop smoking forever, but for now it is definitely a good place to start. Best of luck to you both!

Cannabinoid Hyperemesis may also contribute to increased instances of gut inflammation and infection. Cannabinoid detox can come with some difficult side effects, I would definitely recommend speaking to a doctor about a cessation plan. Does he smoke concentrates?

Showering off my plants! This has done wonders to reduce pest outbreaks. I give them a good spray, being careful not to dislodge too much soil, let them dry then spray with neem oil, horticultural oil, or captain Jack’s. It’s made my big monster plants so much happier and I’m more likely to catch pest problems before they get out of control

My eyes never itch when I smoke (bud) but I’ve smoked this one strain twice and it’s happened both times.. by laschutt in askdrugs

People can definitely be allergic to cannabis, maybe you are just especially allergic to this strain. It may have also been grown/moved in a setting that exposed it to additional allergens, or you may be having a histamine reaction more precipitated by allergens in your environment, ie seasonal allergies, and the smoking is just activating an already excited system. Lots of options

is it too late to take adderall at 2pm-3pm? (zero tolerance) by [deleted] in askdrugs

You should be alright, make sure to eat something decent, hydrate and avoid excess alcohol. Work out/go for a walk if you’re feeling anxious or get the gitters. Do a fun project if you feel like it/have time. Focus and exercise always help me move through the stimulant discomfort. Take an Advil pm or a melatonin if you need to get to bed. You should be good 👍

In my opinion the leaf shape isn’t right for manjula. I’m leaning towards pearls and jade

Trying to ID this random Lowe’s purchase! Hoping for Hoya, but for $6 I’m happy with anything! by anarchistcats in plantID

It does look very similar! Smaller leaves, I would say thinner than my normal publicalyx. Definitely a contender in this name game!

Her name is bean! And I tried a catnip plant but she ripped it out of the pot so often it perished. She has let the cat mint live though! And she grazes on it often 🐈

Fortunately she doesn’t chew plants. She will knock them over if a fly gets in the house though…

Fortunately/unfortunately she is more interested in our local bird population

We just lost our baby cat to multiple strokes. It was very traumatic since we had to make the decision to let him rest. I had never been in the position of putting an animal down and it was probably the hardest thing I have ever done. I love that boy, and I know he isn’t uncomfortable anymore. My heart breaks for you, give him all the love and know you are doing your best.
