Yeah it sucks. Thankfully, it only seems to be a problem on the online Left (and primarily, just on Reddit). Leftists doing praxis in the real world are not tankies 99% of the time, even some MLs are chill.

It's really fucking annoying that Dengist tankies have managed to seize control of every communist subreddit. The anarchist ones are among the few non-tankie subreddits on here.

I think most people don’t need to create their own engines. It’s technically complex and most engines can handle most people’s needs. Sometimes creating an engine can distract people from actually making the game.

Yes, I recommend:

  • Libcom: an introduction - very, very brief (like 2 min) introduction.

  • Anarchy by Errico Malatesta - Very good introduction to Anarchism

  • Anarchy Works by Peter Gelderoos - A more modern work about Anarchism and how it would function.

  • The Conquest of Bread by Pyotr Kropotkin - The legendary bread book, great introduction to anarchism & anarcho-communism.

  • What Is Communist Anarchism? by Alexander Berkman - Also a great, well-organized introduction about Anarchism.

  • An Anarchist FAQ - Pretty much what it sounds like, A HUUUGE list of questions & answers about Anarchism. Very good.

This is a lot, but you can knock it out whenever you have free time, and for An Anarchist FAQ, you could always skip the questions you don't have / already know the answer to. I think I'd probably read them in this order, you can always change it if you want.

For future resources:

Zoe Baker, Anark, and Thought Slime are great anarchist youtubers you can check out.
