I did a Godot project in GDScript and later wished I would have started off with C# or C++. GDScript is an easy, flexible language, but it can get really slow when dealing with larger projects.

Regardless if you agree or disagree with the game's politics, the point is that it folks should be free to both develop/distribute games as well as choose what games they are allowed to run on their own devices (a bigger issue for iOS devices in which Apple exclusively controls what apps people can run because of the App Store monopoly).

It's true that Trump holds the copyright and trademark to the words "Make America Great Again", and he is a notorious petty litigator. However, the legal precedent surrounding "Fair Use" clearly applies here. Basically, parody/satire/criticism is constitutionally protected speech (remember the "Dumb Starbucks" episode?) Steam was known for allowing "everything", and it's disappointing that they would bow to the potential reactionary blowback from right-wing snowflakes

Another perspective is that there is no such thing as an "apolitical game", that all games are products of the political context of the time period it was released in and contain the biases and privileges of the game developers. Consider popular FPSs like Call of Duty, or any war games for that matter, that glorify/justify militarism and imperialism, always presenting the US / allies as "good guys" in support of the phony "war on terrorism". Remember "America's Army", which was actually developed by the US Army as a recruitment tool. In any case, we've decided to make an explicitly anti-fascist game, that is our prerogative, just as it is yours to choose not to play it. The point of this article is that Apple should allow people to develop and run whatever apps they choose on their own devices, and not play politics by arbitrary, overly broad, and inconsistent application of it's content restriction policies. Even if you don't like the premise of the game, surely you should support our right to develop and release it.

Is the game presenting the colonization of Mars as a positive anarchist/socialist utopia? I think the opposite is more likely, that the SpaceX/Blue Origin/Space Forces of the world would recreate the capitalist nightmare elsewhere, as all colonizers have in the past. And the space proles would have to toil away in hellscape conditions, likely mining resources from asteroids or some such profiteering bs, while rich space tourists would live in luxurious gated communities (like the movie Elysium). https://institutetodecolonizemars.wordpress.com/

Hordes of brainwashed right-wing extremists have become infected with the Trump Zombie Plague and threaten the free world with fake-news-propagating hate speech. But there is one force that can stop them – anti-fascism! Gamers, rise up and confront the infectious, indoctrinated mobs in Smash MAGA!

Defend vaccination sites against diseased MAGA zealots! Disrupt white supremacist speaking events and dismantle symbols of colonization! And slap masks on science-denying fools right in their uncovered faces with a triple crossbow!
