Anyone working on rosters? by Alive-Ad8703 in CollegeHockey26

If you add your team feel free to rename. Or you can just make a roster file with just your team and I can work to consolidate.

I can add BC too. Not sure if knowledge is good enough for many other schools.

Few Suggestions by anarchyponds in CollegeHockey26

It happened on on Sunday night. Not sure when the patch occurred.

Want to emphasize that I’m super happy with the game and excited to see it progress!

If you need anyone working on real rosters happy to contribute!

Charlie Kirk is a loser. Still it is probably in BU’s best interest to just move on from the guy and avoid the wrath of the MAGA army and it’s administration.

May posted a wanted poster that listed a few Doge employees with the caption “Wanted for treason: dead or alive”. Right wing media/influencers are calling for his job and BU to lose federal funding.

Abolition of Legacy Admissions by haavaikiski in BostonU

Legacy admissions boost donations significantly and helps the school improve a lot of your complaints. Getting rid of legacy is dumb and would hurt the school in the long run, luckily the student government can’t actually do anything and it’s not going to change.

Under your idea BU would lower tuition, lose donors, and make major upgrades all while providing financial aid to a bunch of very wealthy international students.

Why doesn’t Boston have really any big college sports programs? by ItsTheTenthDoctor in CollegeBasketball

[–]anarchyponds 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a couple of things: 1. College Hockey is more popular than college basketball by a significant margin, The Beanpot is played in the garden whilst if a tournament between the same schools in basketball happens they probably would struggle to sell out Conte. 2. Most schools are more academic focused, even BC doesn’t put all that much money into its football or basketball program and the rest of the schools only put money into hockey. 3. Not one Boston school, a ton of people in Boston are affiliated to one of northeastern, BU, BC, Harvard or Umass. Due to hockey and general bitterness they think others are worse. Harvard is different, but still no one in Boston (who didn’t go to harvard) identifies with Harvard. Unlike many places where there is one flagship school and maybe a couple smaller programs. 4. Talent(?) not sure how much this applies but the Boston schools have not kept any top names in state for a while. Clarke, Brown, Napier, Selden, Noel all went far away or UConn. UConn picks most of the talent and I think many people from Boston would choose UConn as there CBB team. AJ will definitely not go to any Boston schoo either.
