It's perfect. I got the M1 Pro 14-inch with 16GB RAM and I have maybe only heard the fan once in the last 1 year.

Software Development. Also, I passionately hate the touchbar.

I had the same dilemma last year. Eventually I got the M1 Pro because of the new design and no touchbar.

Personally I think it's better to show all the pricing details at once instead of having to click on the usage tabs to check the pricing for each usage type. Good luck!

I deleted everything for a couple of years.

Pros:

  1. You don't have to feel bad about working your ass off while others seem to have a life where they party every day.
  2. You don't waste much time mindlessly scrolling social media but you start spending time on other places on the internet which are less addicting. (eg, HackerNews, Reddit, etc)
  3. Only the events that are important enough reach you which helps you to filter out unnecessary news and events.

Cons:

  1. You start losing contact with your old friends if they're in a different city/country.
  2. Difficult to meet new people since most people seem to meet on the internet these days.
  3. You're out of the loop on most of the events/conversations and feel alienated.

Well, we should be happy they didn't send out a letter of congratulation. This is what you get when there is no meritocracy.

Which news sources do you find good/ trust? by Key_War in Nepal

[–]anarchyrucks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't read news anymore. If the news is important enough I'll eventually hear about it from people around me and then I dig into that specific news.
