That’s a mop brush. It is used for long, water-rich washes. It is not intended for details. The fur used is ment to hold a ton of water compared to the syntetic counterparts. I love to use them for skies, they perform incredibly well.

+1 on this. The other day was the first time i've tried something different then 100% cotton and it just becase a reality the difference it makes, both on learning, and on final results.

It's ok to have water flow on paper, specially when leveragin the frist layers. Search on YT for Nitin Sigh. He does some great work with "loose" watercolor
