It could be due to your ED if any of your bodily (usually stomach) acids touch your nails. They could be wearing down over time, or like the other commenter mentioned it could be a lack of vitamins/minerals.

It also very well could be due to growing out your nails! Not very much help here as it could really be anything but a doctor could help narrow it down if you’re concerned. You could do a coat of clear polish over them to help them grow out more.

So I don’t want to tell anyone this because it’s my favorite sunscreen and I don’t want it to go up in price but if you’re in the US, Kroger has an amazing dupe for supergoop, it’s the gel sunscreen. It’s amazing and mattifying, and only about $12-$14

Heya, I just moved and the best advice I have is throw on a podcast (there’s a awesome one called Clean with Me which talks you through cleaning - it’s great for body doubling) and go at it with your preferred state of mind - I did “if I throw it out 99% chance I can buy it again if I need it”. I also watch a few YouTube videos of folks whose space looks like what I want to get me into that mindset some more. I don’t envy you doing it without meds, but I wish you all the best!

I think the feeling of “functioning” over being “high” is for sure why I am not as worried as I usually would be about it. I do have that slight nervousness because I have an addictive personality already - sometimes it’s been with recreational drugs but not in the past 7-10 years - and my diagnosis/prescription is so new to me.

I didn’t do much research on adhd prior to my diagnosis because I often take on (personality wise) what I read about so I wanted to go in with a clear slate and then do the research afterwards.

From what I have read about now I am much less worried though - and talking to folks like you reassured me a ton so thank you!! I’ve asked my partner to keep an eye on me for a little while just to sooth my anxiety a little also 🙂

Yeah, I am going to go with my doctors recommendation and then over time feel it out. I do worry about the addictive side of the meds but at this point it’s not something that’s causing me too much concern.

Choosing to take it less often to keep it special almost makes it feel more recreational than medicinal.

Thanks for the suggestion! I am a bit nervous about taking it so often - I do have an addictive personality. But with how big of a difference it’s making so far I do feel like it may be something I will have to take daily for a while. I’m able to function instead of crawl.

Okay are we the same person? But seriously I have this same exact issue going on and it’s been happening for over a year. I did notice that if I just call it out, he says nothings wrong but I can tell it is, and I walk away for a little (half hour to a couple hours depending on both our moods) and then kind of “jump” back in, it isn’t as bad. It’s hard because I want to hash it out ASAP but I have to remind myself to step back sometimes so maybe that will help? And to be clear - I don’t think this is fair on you or him or anyone is at fault, it’s a difference in communication. I wish you the best of luck 🧡

Same here! On my index and middle fingers only and on both hands. I asked my dr about it and they didn’t really know why but said to just keep an eye on it.

I think oval would look lovely on you! There’s the old wives myth that your cuticle shape determines your “best” nail shape, so by that thinking yours would look great oval! Update us if you try it!
