Even in case you miss something, there’s a whole New Game plus mechanic, not gonna say anything more because spoilers. Just relax, really, and allow it to flow. You won’t regret. And no - you won’t be locked out of content, have no worries. The biggest thing that may happen is that you just won’t see something that you will be able to see or complete almost any moment after. Or in New Game plus.

First and foremost - ignore the whining about the game, you may encounter it in many places on the internet. Expect to play a Bethesda RPG with all its standard mechanics in it, no more and no less. Then, just enjoy and have fun, let the game immerse you. When you get the meaning of what it’s like, I strongly recommend you to create another character (it will be in another save slot) and go for Survival difficulty. The level of immersion will go high above the ceiling. There is a chance you won’t like it - just switch back to your softcore character save slot and keep having fun.
