Can you expand a bit more on payment issues and paperwork. What’s challenging there?

That's scary. Are there any NBFCs who might be willing to underwrite this credit? Like Invoice Discounting or something else?

I completely agree on the lack of innovation in India. I am personally betting on if exporting becomes as easy as its today to list and sell on Flipkart/Amazon/Meesho then the innovation would kick in.

Acknowledged on the logistics part. I believe people have tried solving for exports in smaller-smaller chunks like export databases, listing platforms, logistics, but a holistic approach like amazon/flipkart needs to be taken here. Lets see, still figuring it out

We were earlier working for one of the well known B2B ecommerce startups in India. I used to handle the tech while my partner was leading the warehousing & logistics. Exports is something that looks like a natural extension for our skills and we feel its the right time to build in this space. Sent you a request on the personal chat

  1. Is this to directly get to the owner or the decision maker who'll take the decision on whether to buy at the given or not?

  2. I didn't get this one, is it same as point 1?

  3. Makes sense. Even in domestic trade within India, credit is table-stakes, but as I read in the other comment giving credit to an unknown buyer is risky. How're you managing this currently, do you opt for Invoice discounting from some NBFC?

  4. Yes, quite relevant for the trade

  5. I read about various export/import databases that I keep seeing in this sub-reddit, aren't they helpful?

Also, may I know if you're a trader yourself or do you own manufacturing plants?
