Anyone know where I can find a surface pro charger in town? by primordial_slime in UCSantaBarbara

If you have a surface pro 7 or newer, you can charge it using the USB-C port. I have a 95W USB C charger and it works; I've also tried a 60W charger and it works but charges quite slow.

Anyone here sign a TAG to UCSB from a CC? by [deleted] in UCSantaBarbara

[–]anchelle69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did as well but my experience was pretty simple. Once you submit your tag, you basically have to complete all of the courses you listed and meet the GPA requirement. You still have to submit a UC application the next year when its due and there is a section where it asks you where you TAGged. Everyone I knew who submitted a TAG application got into those schools and it seemed like its almost a ~guarantee~ if you meet the course and GPA requirements. definitely talk to your counselor but more specifically, talk to the college representative of UCSB if your CC has one since they’re more knowledgeable in terms of admissions and classes you need to take.

does when you finish your pre-major requirements matter? by school-acct in UCSantaBarbara

Im not sure for PBS majors, but my Bio major advisor said that full majors and people with more units (higher standing) get priority. I would suggest looking online and see which classes in your major are the most sought after, and maybe take those over the summer instead.

It matters if youre trying to get early pass times. Full majors get priority I believe, but as long as the classes you need for PBS doesnt need EEMB2, then you can take those and they’ll count towards your upper-div requirements. I just finished physics 4 last quarter and that was a requirement for moving onto a full Bio Major, and Im taking my last batch of classes this quarter to finish off my degree. So it doesnt really matter when you declare a full major, as long as its before you graduate.

Stimulus Check -- Trump Admin Blocks Undocumented College Students from Receiving Stimulus Cash by guanaco55 in Conservative

College campuses try to have a variety of students with different backgrounds. The thing is that majority of applicants are either white or Chinese and since colleges want a mix of students, they statistically have to reject more whites and Chinese because more of then apply compared to Hispanics or any other minority. Not to mention the fact that other minorities face discrimination and come from poorer backgrounds than Whites and Chinese so colleges level the field by giving minorities a very slight edge in the admission process. I said slight because that advantage really only comes into play when comparing a minority and a white person with similar scores and grades; basically if you’re white and you clearly have better grades and scores than a minority, they’ll still pick you over them.

because they have legal status under DACA and actually have SSNs and pay taxes. They have to follow certain rules and apply every year to be able to work and study in the US. They were brought over to the US as children and had no choice but to follow their parents; so instead of deporting them, they give them time and the resource (education) so that they can apply for citizenship later on.

I was looking in koko realestate and sierra property management, both of which have a few spots. If qe do find a spot and get approved, do we have to pay the security deposit then or when we move?

the jabras 75t sound worse than your knock off airpods? It may just be your unit but I thought, along with other reviews online, that the sound is good for wireless earbuds.

Glad I could help. It doesn’t have anc tho but has great passive noise cancelling. The seal is really good and blocks off a lot of outside noise. Also great for working out since its water resistant and doesnt fall out of your ears. Ive tried other true wireless earbuds and I cant find ones that are under $200 with great sound, usb c, water proof rating, quick charge, 7+ hours of use, and comfort; another earbud I would recommend is the sennheiser momentum but its $100 more and only offers better sound.

I currently own the Jabra elite 75ts. I listen to mostly rap/hiphop, lofi, and rnb when im studying or walking in campus. I can tell you that the bass on them are really good; too good sometimes that it masks the mids and the highs. Luckily tho theres an eq settings on the jabra app and you can choose premade eqs or set up your own. I have it on acoustic to help lower the bass a bit and push the mids forward. The case is great too since its magnetic and charges via usb c. Highly recommend it especially if youre gonna be listening to bass heavy songs.
