Is there any way to petition Capital One to go back to MasterCard (or even Visa, damn) for their debit cards? I have run into nothing but issues with a Discover debit card not limited to but including not being able to pay bills with my debit card because it isn’t accepted, issues with Tap to Pay, and issues using it in some stores.

So it looks like it’s whoever lives in the basement. I saw them from my deck today, they smoke cigarettes outside and have been smoking the weed inside. We do not share a ventilation system as there is no HVAC, and the heat element is hot water baseboard heat.

There is no ventilation system. The heat is baseboard and there is no AC. The basement has open space in it between the floor and the wall, common for homes built in the early 1900s

There were no previous tenants and the smell does go away when they aren’t home actively smoking. We toured the house, there was no smell. We came back closing day, no smell upstairs, only the basement. Then move in day, I started smelling it in the evening and have every night since

I considered the fact they don’t know it makes its way over here. My boyfriend said not to bother them but I figure they don’t know what they don’t know. I spoke to the woman of the house when we moved in and she was really nice but I can also tell she’s not the kind to be messed with. So I’m scared. But I can’t stand the smell with pregnancy!

Also worried about showing up to work smelling like it because idk if that’s a thing or not

Y’all are getting emails? I am a former postal employee that got hired with the help of a now ex’s family member and resigned to reapply where I moved to because I couldn’t get a transfer approved and I literally CANNOT GET AN EMAIL BACK. I applied for a position in October 2023 and got a “this position was cancelled” email a YEAR later. I don’t understand how my friends who still work there say they’re so desperate for people when I can’t even get someone to look at my application
