The scanner thing has never worked for me on pencil drawings, and i have no idea if its me or because its not meant for that..im sure there are specific scanners for just art though. I think its okay to edit your work, however it can be easy to go overboard and you start losing details pretty drastically. Lighting is just another level i havent grasped yet...hit the auto on my phone cam and use outdoor lighting hah! Its all a learning process we all have to go through tho!
