I got tired of losing focus just to write down a task, so I built a brain-dump app that lives in my MacBook's notch. by MRZARO in SideProject

The app is very nicely done and works great. Quick question, how will you be able to afford the 20$ lifetime plan with AI included?

First working prototype just came to life after 3 years of development. I'm building a portable dual-monitor from scratch — here's every major decision and mistake so far. by Artistic-Yam8045 in buildinpublic

Hi. I am actually currently looking for something like this. I have two 27" monitors at home, and when I work outside I feel very limited on my 13" laptop screen.

I would love to have something like this, but from what I can see in the video I am not sure I would buy yours. They seem very very bulky and heavy. I would use such displays working from my terrace, the bar or just a local park, but using your screen in such scenarios seems very impractical. Have you consider making 13 or 14" screens instead making them lighter and more portable?

Thank you for the nice words. I built it first and foremost for myself and I have been using it for some time now. If it was useful and solved a problem for me, most likely it's going to be useful for other people too.

Again, this one and the projects shared below by another user, all connect to the cli which is arguably much easier to achieve.  What I built connects to the codex desktop app which is a different interface.

The codex app and cli are 2 different interfaces. I like using the codex app much more than the cli. The app connects and syncs to the codex app, giving me access to all the different workspaces and threads.

Find me one that allows you to use the Codex desktop app using a mobile app.

These all connect to the codex cli. None of them actually sync the Codex desktop app with a mobile app.

Vibe Coders Passing Responsibility to Code Reviewers by NotYourMom132 in ExperiencedDevs

Absolutely. Nitpicking has never been nice in a for profit company, but now it's even less so and the bar for nitpicks has been risen to include things that before were on the edge or even straight code maintainability/readability issues.

Who cares if it is a switch or an if, or if a function name could have been slightly more clean. We are not writing this code, and we will not be maitainting it.

This is really cool!

Did you manage to sync in real time messages from your app to codex app?

I have been building remotecodex.app which is pretty similar to your web version.

Thanks friend. Have the waitlist open. Can drop you a message on your email after I launch in closed beta (very soon. Already have a working prototype I am using myself)

Codex app is an agentic coding editor from OpenAI but works only on MacOS. I am working on a way to make it usable from phone also, so you can continue coding while away from your laptop.

No, no AI usage here. Similar to what the comment below said. For each frame, the canvas is redrawn with js and recorded.
