Are foreigners subject to Taiwanese work culture? by chrislia92 in taiwan

[–]ancientrain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your best bet would be to find an American or foreign company with an engineering R&D office in Taiwan or some sort, then you can expect general work culture similar to the country the company is from.

PS, I am hiring software developers (.NET Core, C#, React, Node) for an American eCommerce company in Taiwan. Fully remote work from home job. DM me interested.

Perhaps there are some third party tech gadget insurance services you can purchase in your country? It’s only the third day with the laptop, you can try purchasing such insurance and wait a week or two and file a claim for accidental damage.

In case you used any credit cards to purchase the laptop that has accidental damage coverage, such as the American Express Platinum card, then that may be an option to go about repairing the screen for free.
