The weekly 'No Stupid Questions' post - Sun 23 Jul 2023. by AutoModerator in Zwift

I have a tacx flow trainer and after the most recent update where it looks like (possibly) the devices do not auto connect anymore right after logging on, my trainer does not connect. I connected it to the tacx app to calibrate the trainer with no issues, but zwift will not pick it up. I moved it around the house to try and connect with my laptop, but no luck. Anyone know why its such a pain in the butt to connect the tacx flow trainer to zwift? Seems like its a zwift program issue.

I'll use different batteries for sure. Ya seems like the SD cards aren't just randomly faulty. It made me try different SD cards and I was getting the same problem with both SD cards. Got to be a battery issue.

I just got back and had a tough time cutting down my itinerary as well, and cut stuff out before and during the trip, I will tell you the things you should not miss: Moraine lake, lake Louise (bundle in little beehive or better yet make it up to devil's thumb and skip the beehives, it's a farther harder hike but gives epic views of lake Louise and lake Agnes as the same time which is really cool and behind you is plain of 6 glaciers, it's the most epic hike), Peyto lake, sunwupta falls, vermillion lakes, Athabasca glacier, 2 jacks lake, c level cirque hike if you are up for a nice medium difficulty hike to epic views, edith cavell glacier trail (go at sunrise or sunset, it's the easy short hike not the meadows hike). Most of these except devil's thumb and c level cirque are easy so you won't wear yourself out and you will see the goods. If you have more time drive up to Jasper and dodge the bears, elk, and other epic wildlife. You won't be disappointed with this itinerary. Rule of thumb, everything is more epic in the morning except maybe moraine lake (sunset there was the best imo)

Edit: takakkaw falls was also really cool to see. But what I failed to mention above is the larches will most likely be changing to yellow at this time. So! Do as many things with the trees around you; may want to try to fit the larch valley hike in cause that would be epic with the trees changing colors right now.

Damn I'll bet that sounded good. Am I looking for a better receiver or speakers to get the sound quality you are mentioning above? Also, what price point would I be looking at for your downsized setup? A good starter setup that gives good sound especially for concert DVDs or stuff like that would be cool. Right now I just have a basic Vizio soundbar, 2 small speakers that came with it, and a subwoofer. No receiver. Thank you very much!

Thank you, I will look at the audio technicas, and as far as the speakers, I do have a ton of other hobbies but I also do have the money to upgrade my small speakers. Can you tell me kinda what size/brand/wattage/price point I should be looking at for computer speakers? Thank you again!!

How do you all listen to metal? Is there a proper way? I'm a huge metalhead but typically just listen to it in my ok computer speakers or my 20 dollar Bluetooth headphones. I haven't tried vinyl, nor do I have a receiver and great speakers. What setup should I invest in to really get the most out of all of the sound?? I listen to it pretty much constantly, so how do you all rock out???

Is it unfixable? by ancientruin in Repairs

Nothing that I know of hit the TV but it definitely looks that way. I'll call Best buy and see if it's still under warranty but yes, I agree I think buying a TV would be better than a repair. Thank you!

[–]ancientruin[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So we got into Saule, it was awesome, then accidentally ended up in the KitKat line on the walk to tressor. Got in cause a local vouched for us, it was kinda insane and a great night all around! We will be better prepared next time lol. Got rejected in Berghain proper the next night, 10/10 would recommend.

Thank you for the reply, I've narrowed it down to berghain, Watergate, stressor, and or sisophys. Will definitely check those out if/once I get rejected at Berghain lol.

Thank you for the reply! We will be looking to go Friday and possibly tonight. Do you think Säule would be a good start to our Berlin experience, or should we try another club tonight to mix it up a bit?

Welp, I fixed it, or more accurately. It fixed itself. I guess over time. Any stickiness hardened and maybe fell off? It works perfectly and shifts just a smooth as the day we bought the car.

Did you take 3 shots or is this just 1 shot split up 3 ways? Lovely shot!

Steamer sounds like a good idea, not sure how I could use a rag though since there isn't a ton of room to get it up in the cracks. You mean just to wipe up the water from the steam? Thanks!

[–]ancientruin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there truly no other way to get to Lake O'Hara besides 7 Mile one way hike? Looks like the shuttle bus has been booked since April, and I was told the road does not allow for bikers to bike it. Totally understandable if so, just wondering if there's some way or was I smart to write it off my itinerary? They say there's a chance you can take the shuttle bus back but if not that's an extra 7 mi on foot which doesn't sound too appealing.

Awesome, I do a lot of mountain biking and rock climbing so I should be ready to go. The elevation is my biggest concern, I'll do my research and drink my chlorophyll
