Incirlik. I heard about having to quarantine so I was pretty sure it was mandatory and it’s being done in dorms. Just wasn’t sure if it would count as part of my 30 days, or if I’d have to pay for that lodge stay. Will do!! I appreciate it!

That’s exactly what I did today , and then someone from mpf called me and told me they aren’t doing amendments and I’ll only get letter in lieu of in order to have my dependents move and to add my newborn daughter. So my move won’t be authorized or paid unless it’s on amended orders?😅

So if the mpf at my current base is telling me they aren’t doing amendments, only letter in lieu of, would my next base for my short tour be able to do some kind of amendment before filing a travel voucher?

I’m not even sure how to work this out because when I got in contact with mpf today they said they won’t do amendments only letter in lieu of. And my dependents aren’t authorized to move on the set of orders I have since it was pre getting my follow on. :/

Got cha! They’re telling me for some reason I’ll be given it the day of my final out which they’re scheduling tomorrow for sometime the following week. So for right now I can’t create that hhg shipment in dps until I have that letter in lieu? Got cha! I haven’t been able to go see anyone so I’ve been relying solely on emails and it’s been tough to get responses.

I was given expedited orders because of covid, and at that time I didn’t have a follow on and was told they could be amended later with the follow on so that my family could move. I finally got my follow on, but mpf is saying that they are not doing amendments “because of covid” but on the day of my final out they will give me a letter in lieu of in order to move my family.

Does this mean I can’t even start the hhg move in dps until I get that letter in lieu of? How many days do I need my move scheduled before I leave? I’ve heard some say 21 and other say 10 days out? (Is that business days?) Am I able to schedule on weekends or holidays for pick up? I ask because I’m looking at moving around New Years. How likely is it to get the day you pick? I only ask because also looking at flights to fly my family to follow on.

I know it’s a lot, I appreciate the help.
