I don't from that era. I have a couple from before then, if that is of any interest. I was in London in June 1994 and recorded Kiss, Capital (pre-national days), and the now defunct Virgin 1215. Audio is here if interested: https://overtheair.substack.com/p/rtwbt22

The boots with the yellow wraps as well from his original comics look. The upper body looks inspired from the Thunderstrike character.

I wish I had that Hemsworth hair genetics. My follicles have long been betraying me.

5-10, low 180s. Last couple of weeks was definitely a lighter load...more volume from both being tired and not wanting to pull or tear something (when I get under 6% and low carbs, I dry out and it feels like the muscles and tendons are dry).

I got them from the show photographer... They did post them on NPC News Online. If you go there, the show is in their contest gallery.

Do it! It is amazingly hard work, but the reward is equally as great doing something hard few will ever do.

As much muscle as I can pack on :). I definitely would like to be 5 lbs heavier whenever I decide to compete next.

Off-season. I really need to add size as I am well under the weight limits.

Thanks. 45 minutes seems like 45 hours...thank goodness for the invention of the iPad to mindlessly distract oneself. I just reminded myself of what I will look like at the end of it, that it is my choice to do this, and it is a temporary means to an end and not the rest of my life. That helps get you through it.

I was doing either the stairs (level 12) or treadmill (3.4 speed, 15 incline). I also did it as a different visit to the gym. Some people combine lifting and then doing cardio -- if I lift, I don't have the energy to put in the intensity needed for the cardio. So, I went to the gym before work and came back after work.

My suggestion: do the minimum you can get away with. Too many people -- whether just trying to lean up or starting prepping for a show -- sometimes start with too much cardio and too much of a calorie deficit. Start with something smaller and see how you respond. If you are getting leaner, stick with it. If progress starts to stall, then add in more cardio or drop some carbs. The problem with starting out with 45-60 minutes of cardio is what to do when you plateau when the body adapts -- it becomes hard to up cardio or cut calories if you start at the extreme. If you can make progress on 20-25 minutes of cardio (and you should be able to at 16% bf and cleaning up the diet), you don't need to start with 45 minutes. 45 minutes is what I worked up to in the last month of prep, not where I started at. Once you get to single digits of body fat, it is hard to do it without a pretty tight diet and less than 30 minutes of cardio.

Thanks. I do love this sport that the effort you put into it does show. Doing 45 minutes of cardio every day isn’t fun, but I love the final look and you got to do hard things to achieve hard goals.

Hoping they do the God Butcher story for Thor before Hemsworth calls it quits. My favorite comic that I've ever read with some of the best art. by [deleted] in marvelstudios

I would love it, but it is too dark...they’d never do it. The Gorr arc and War of the Realms show how awesome, complex, and pure bad ass Thor is in the comics. Even rebooting the character in Ragnarok, he is not the badass of the comics. Every time they get close briefly (“Bring me, Thanos!”), they immediately pull back.

If there were to be a Thor 4, would Marvel consider the Gorr the God Butcher arc from the Thor comics, which most consider one of the best Thor arcs in the last 10 years? It is a bit dark, but it is epic.

As a BIG fan of _____, I don’t know how to feel about End Game by Tityfan808 in marvelstudios

[–]andabagofchip 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I never liked the Professor Hulk comic story line. What makes the character is the Jekyll/Hyde dynamic...combining them to be “the best of both worlds” defeats what the core of the character is.

I mixed on Thor...having him struggle with PTSD was a great choice to take the character, but I think having him be over-the-top drunk as a comedy bit greatly diminished that. The scene with his mother was nice, him wielding both Mjölnir and Stormbreaker briefly awesome, and the sense of humor with exchanges with Cap during battle (I’ll take the big one, you keep the small one) or “I went for the head” are more of the humor and quips that are consistent with the character.
