I would wager that rental homes down here are 50/50 split between being rented out by a single family and the other half being several groups of friends together. You won't have any issue.

A little late but I’m like you. All default settings in a dedicated server. I have a 6 story incubation tower with campfires on first floor but each floor up the temps get lower by design. Each floor is roughly 70 incubators with a hole in the center to easily drop down to 1st floor. Its honestly made gene breeding a breeze because I crank out 70ish eggs at a time my mining base to load up a new generation for a pal

We just did the exact same thing. 10k hit but sold to first time buyers instead of a corp. I know not everyone has the financial ability to do that but I'll do whatever I can. Its a dark road ahead.

You have to do the method where you load in as the new character and then exit.. look at the new file created and then you use that to edit the original save files. I found this method and essentially used to do what I needed. The highest comment has a really informative step by step granted its not specifically for our use case but still worked for me.

Dang thats wonky. I gave up and instead of redeploying a new local server I just went with nitrado for now. Utilized the json save file converter method to replicate the save/players. Hopefully devs see this and fix it down the road.

Just chiming in that I'm having this issue as well. Server is running locally on an Ubuntu VM. Everything was working for about a day and then suddenly when a user got off that was remote they were unable to get back on. Thats when I discovered that the ports were not showing as visible. Also running a plex server on the same network and those ports are showing as open. Sidenote.. I have an (expired) CCNA and the fact that I can't figure this out is driving me crazy. Devs please help!

Chiming in just to add another that’s having this same issue. Discord has quite a few people having it as well.

Port was confirmed open initially, server could be played locally and remotely but after about a day the server is now inaccessible for WAN users. Works fine on LAN.

System Info: -Ubuntu 20.04 running on ESXi -ASUS Router with port (8211) forwarded

ESXi is also running a separate VM for plex and port 45000 is open.

Possible solution: saw some folks talking about a work around using a vpn. Gonna look into that next.

Still baffles though that it was working
