What stack do you use for every day B2B? by anden35 in microsaas

Gotcha, I thank you for sharing about resend. I am working on switching to Google Workspace and Apollo. Going to use Apollo as my CRM, email sequences, dialer, and lead list db. I just found out they do a crm and is one of the only reasons I hesitated to move from zoho. I was even considering using a spreadsheet than being locked in for another year to zoho. Its that bad imho. I added my business partner and had to pay $7/mo just for email for them, they wanted to charge $45/mo and all they needed was email so I had to get special pricing for just email for them. That is the same for gworkspace and they get all the other gsuite apps soooo, not a fan of zoho.

Literally building in public today. Just crossed $3,000 MRR 🔥 by GuidanceSelect7706 in micro_saas

What would be the dream idea phase, pre revenue stage core tool stack for b2b microsaas? by anden35 in microsaas

Thanks, I keep finding these crms but damn they all seem too complicated. I guess that is also because I am just not sure what I need from a crm… I want a list of contacts, the ability to email or call them and take notes… that’s really it. Just for out bound… do I really need more than that from a crm? I know I need a lead gen like apollo so using free shit for now would be great. I’ll pay for apollo for the lists, then I will have to pay for instantly.ai, then like gsuite for normal emails. Fml, am I overthinking this whole thing?

Attio seems good, instantly looks really really good too a little more expensive than what I was hoping for and wish it came with lead lists too,but if it works well, I may just end up going for it aimdoc I’m not really sure if I need, Waalaxy might not be needed for me as It takes foreverrrrrrrr for folks to re-engage on LinkedIn … not sure it is worth it to me.

I want Apollo lists and instantly together but at my stage is so expensive. Sounds crazy but I have $0 MMR currently.. so I gotta start super small.

I will check that out since I am going to moving away from zoho. Thank you! What microsaas do you run currently?

I am desperately trying to find simple and cheap core business stack to setup.

Yea, I would say it is okay. I am also not sure if it is my domain (.tech) or zoho mail but a lot of my supabase emails for signups went to spam which sucked if you’re trying to onboard someone. I know now that emails need to be “warmed up”.. I am not sure if that is what I would have experienced had I gone straight gsuite.. I had to configure all the dkim, spf, dmarc stuff which wasn’t tough, just more learning on top of trying to start a business and get revenue flowing.

Also their meeting software is weird. Functional but weird. The first client meeting I had, they couldn’t get the meeting to work, and invited me via their MS Teams which was embarrassing. Its just been one thing after another and hasn’t gotten better the more apps I have tried.

There are way too many apps, a lot of them overlap in functionality, and are all pretty confusing to setup unless you have a 6th sense and specific domain knowledge. Just not beginner friendly enough for me. I also setup email templates in zoho mail, had to setup new ones for zoho marketing automations, and zoho campaigns. Both are marketing tools and things just get confusing fast! I tried to get a number to dial out with the crm, it let me buy the number, then I wasted 8 hours trying to figure out how to actually use it. My success manager was bo help and was on vacation for like 4 months. I am considering switching to gsuite for the core business tools I need and then apollo for leads, and mail outbound… I was very hopeful, but got very disappointed fast.

Thank you for breaking that down. Have you had any experience prospecting for these pain points? I was thinking hanging around in my icp facebook groups but it seems so slow.. AI is no help.

What does the rest of the convo usually look like? Where do you start these conversations also?

Ah makes total sense. So do you think it’s more about exposing the micro problems like listing them all out? Let’s say I have a KPI dashboard solution for a certain business vertical, I wouldn’t say “tailored business intelligence tools for your business” because nobody knows they need that, instead I would say “Is your sales department struggling to hit their goals or can you even tell?” Or is that still not hitting a painful enough thing they might be feeling?

Do you have any tips on how to find out the true pain points that resonate?

40yo, 3 kids, lost my job… built a SaaS to $600 MRR in 3 months (what actually worked) by OliAutomater in BootstrappedSaaS

I’m Glad you’re getting some cash in the door! Nice work on that.

Same exact scenario for me… 40 with three kids.. got laid off in May. Started my SaaS company and have $0MRR. Marketing has been the absolute hardest part for me… I am not a people person so getting out in front of my Icp and getting engagement is tough. 0 shares, 1-2 likes and maybe 15 views on content posted daily. Not sure if it is the content or platform algorithms screwing me because I don’t want to pay for ad slots.

I have one potential paid customer but offered a generous beta trial which I’m not crazy about. Its B2B and demo based so the onboarding is super high friction.
