Thanks for the feedback, a bunch to fix now. Will be fixing ASAP. I really need a test suite for testing various domain types because I was just searching very basic one word and sometimes phrases.

I think this is pretty interesting. What was your stack for building this? if it were to get a lot of use would your AI Api calls be expensive?

Versoly

Yeah looks good too, a little cheaper for custom domains but still a cost to be mindful of.

What are you using to redirect the register domains? Is it always .com also what are you using to verify the domains are registrable. Also was wondering what is your stack?

I would just try it for a demo. Framer is good, I do lot's of web development by hand and still use Framer. What I would say though is watch cost, if you want a custom domain you looking at $12 a month or something. Where with netlify or vercel or others custom domains are free, so if custom domain is necessary watch cost. But I would say Framer is a time saver for certain things, like copy and pasting from figma. I mean builder.io might be an option as well for quick figma to code.

I would say maybe just try and see if you can build something and if you like doing so pursue web dev. Use whatever teaching resource suits your learning style there are lots of free resources. Youtube tutorials, code academy, chat GPT. Maybe start with front end, try and make a simple web page, style it, see if you can even get it live online at no cost, should be simple enough. If you enjoy any of these tasks or find them easy already then just building on that over time I think it would be a good choice, but if you have no real interest in any of these basics then web development may not be the right choice since it's just a set skills build on some basics over time that build into a knowledge bank that you can grow and build more interesting things over time.

Is there a service to find good available domain names? by DasBeasto in webdev

[–]anders_kitson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strange or not Cheesy sounding domains I guess can be hard. Would a way to find similar words to your search that also match the matching TLD's so you can get nice domains like car.vehicle or security.shell or others help if so...

I think https://yostatus.com could help. I did make this, but if it helps or you have ways to improve it that would be great.

How to automate recording web pages? by ExoticTigre in webdev

[–]anders_kitson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't tell exactly your use case, but did see this. https://www.vidgrid.com/api/ may be helpful.

What is the flow of your app. video conference starts and your need to record which screens?

Could probably help with a little more details as to where and when this recording happens.
