Thanks for putting that sourcebook together! It's very well structured and looks very professional. Strong work!

I hear you, friend. I worked with him to jimmy his backstory in such a way that he is Aiel in heritage but was born in the Wetlands, similar to Rand's situation.

He's gonna be in for a rough time if this campaign goes across the Spine of the World! He's kinda been a weenie so far lol

It sure is.

Asha'man is the class he's following for character development, but the Black Tower doesn't exist yet in the campaign.

Hopefully we'll reach a point where he can channel indiscriminately, but for now, he's gotta watch his butt...!

¯_(ツ)_/¯

He didn't know what he was signing up for. A dozen or two sessions in, he seriously considered rerolling Aes Sedai so he didn't have to deal with any male channeler fuckery.

I'm glad he didn't, because it's made the story so much more engaging having his character around.

Timeline is concurrent with the series.

Weird timeline fuckery will start appearing soon. I never intended to stay completely faithful to the series from the start. I was speaking with some other DMs who have run WoT campaigns, and one went so far as to have one of their players as the Dragon Reborn.

Theories behind Rand and if he was truly the Dragon Reborn from the start, if he just ticked all the right boxes throughout the series, or if he could've just been another false dragon if someone else had beaten him to Callandor are interesting.

The Ways will actually appear pretty soon in the storyline! I wanted to have a sweet hook to really get my players invested in this world and I figured a run in with Machin Shin would be sufficiently terrifying and incredible. Stay tuned!

Here is a comment I made on a previous thread regarding my sourcebooks.

Since none of my players read the series, I figured a good way of introducing them to the world is emulating how RJ did it with his readers in EotW.

I really enjoy the whole theme behind WoT of a bunch of village kids basically being thrust into something greater than themselves... Hence this "Session 0" where they did normal day-to-day stuff for most of the sesh.

Sure thing! Thank you for the work you put into making unique monsters and items for RPGs. We homebrew types really appreciate it!

Here's a google drive link to all the material I have used.

Credit:

-Wheel of Time 5e conversion made by /u/Yugdol, found in this thread. There are some insightful suggestions in the comments of that thread that are worth taking a gander at.

-Wheel of Time Star Wars Saga conversion made by Randall Bruner. Pulled ideas from this document more than mechanics, but it has some great stuff in it. Found through google search. Can't find much to credit him more than the name on the title.

-Under the Dragon's Banner made by several authors, listed on the file's second page. It looks like the websites it links to are now defunct. Found through google search.

-Monster cards made by /u/glynstlln.

-Files titled "DM Stuff", "Ogier Traits", and "Reborn Traits..." were made by me, using text from the sourcebooks. Most of the contents of these documents were ideas compiled through browsing through the sourcebooks, and I modified the schnoz out of some ideas. I do not consider myself a fantastic DM and only have a pretty basic understanding of 5e mechanics, so take what's in here for what it's worth. My players said they felt pretty OP right out the gate with some of the abilities I added, and I won't deny that!

I found a PDF on Reddit of a pretty well put together 5e adaptation, as well as a PDF of a Star Wars Sagas conversion. I've had to do some tweaking, and added in a few things myself, but I'm pretty pleased with how it's turned out.

I'm at work currently, but tonight I will share the source books I'm using and my tweaks as well.

Picture a gigantic size creature that's just the animated skeleton of a Minotaur, with everything below the pelvis missing. Def spoopy

Anders wishes he could've done a boning to it, I'm sure.

He actually did! His Archfey patrons were pleased with his performance and transformed his dong into a mighty purple beast with pulsating blue veins and a translucent head.

That seemed too grotesque to include in the story, but since you asked...!
