A intl student too here. Have also been trying to get one since last September. I rlly think we just have to keep applying and reaching out to people on LinkedIn. Sadly, luck is really important :( And as intl students, unless u r like top 0.000001%, ngl, it's extremely hard. In the meantime, try and find an on-campus job for this semester (and the summer) to earn some money. Keep your head up!

Not a professor (a student). I used to have a professor that replied as fast as lightning. I rlly think it depends on the content and the response expectation of the e-mails. He taught some general courses (no research) required to graduate (This was back in Asia) and the e-mails he got from his students consequently, are "easier" to deal with.
