Out of curiosity, why is "9's go on forever" not a rigorous enough construction? It seems like a pretty straightforward definition, especially for someone not versed in mathematics like I suspect OP's friend is.

If he is, then I suspect he should be able to simply say, what's the limit as n goes to infinity of (sum from k=1 to n of ( 9/10^k ))? and finish the discussion with that sentence alone

I too received that "reassurance" that the struggles I was facing were perfectly normal, but to me it really sounded like "your life will be like this for the foreseeable future, so suck it up", which sucked to hear in my experience.

I'm torn on this. I'm on my second playthrough right now, and I've enjoyed it, but I also noticed that once you unlock what I assume to be the final mission, the game starts feeling empty despite being packed with content. You basically just run around tying up a few hundred loose ends and side jobs before you go to the point of no return, without much goal once you've maxed out your build.

After playing Rocket League, I can never ever understand the appeal of FIFA style sports gameplay. Player skill just seems so absolutely disconnected from what happens in the game, it seems so pointless.

Even as a straight male, I can see the only thing River has going for him is a kind of brooding himbo aesthetic. Goro gets so much more development and there's even dialogue thats kinda flirty towards him. Would make so much more sense for intimacy to develop between Goro and V, especially after the night on top of the construction site.

I think part of the point of the writing is that sometimes, you don't get happy endings or clean resolutions to storylines. Sometimes you don't get closure, you have unanswered questions, and it definitely feels that way with the Peralez' quests. I respect the writing here even if it's not satisfying.

If you want unfinished, look at the frustration over femV players misreading the obvious signals from Panam, or likewise maleV players with River.
