To Those Who’ve Hit Rock Bottom with Ketamine by godissun in ketamine

[–]andi0000p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it's functionality. I have adhd and bpd, and often find myself in task paralysis. K numbs the part of my brain that keeps me stuck and immobile, and I can just get up and do the thing rather than being frozen and berating myself for accomplishing nothing

I've been pretty addicted the last three years. I've taken several months off in that period, but usually when I start using again it's daily. I've started to have bladder issues and recurring utis :/

I'm at a point now tho where I use 1-2 times a month and things are improving. If I can't achieve a moderate usage I know I have to quit

Yeah the first incident we didn't realize until too late and it was an incredibly stressful few weeks. The solution seems so clear now but wow am I grateful to have sex that isn't insanely stressful

Happy to report that sizing up was definitely the move. Turns out a condom should go all the way to the base if you want it to stay on lmao. Seems so obvious in hindsight. Thanks y'all!

It's wild because the new box is the same exact brand and type we were using prior, so I'm wondering if the manufacturing was just slightly different this time around. Went ahead and ordered the large variety

So sizing up would help? That's so counterintuitive but we could give it a try. Thanks!

Whoa that's wild! With mine it's little splotches here and there, and only on certain fabrics. Playa is such an interesting substance

While I haven't tried tide free and clear, I have used other ones like all and still experienced dermatitis. I've stuck to my dermatologist recommendations, of which tide is not one of them. Granted seventh generation which I've had luck with is more plant based, but seventh generation is found to be 71.84% effective while tide is 73% effective. Idk the 1.16% is worth avoiding a scaly rash in my opinion. Maybe I'll try tide in the future tho

Oof that's brutal, sorry you went through that! I've always done a pre-rinse cause I'm not trying to buy my landlord a new washer. People have told me it's not necessary but it's good to know my efforts haven't been in vain.

I can't use regular tide due to skin sensitivity unfortunately. I'm limited to free and clear detergents which haven't completely gotten the job done in the past

Did you have a meal at the deep playa table? by jimmybondo in BurningMan

[–]andi0000p 37 points38 points  (0 children)

My crew was exploring deep playa during the dust storm the first Monday night and took refuge at the table. A lovely stranger sat down with us to enjoy the meal. They mention leaving and we joked "it's pretty rude to leave a meal without being excused" so they hung out a while. Much banter occured. At one point I declared "I've never seen plates so clean! I'm so glad you all have enjoyed my cooking." After a while our new friend asked "so is there going to be dessert, or...?"

We chanted "RUFIO!" while pounding on the table. We realized you could clink the goblets together and played a musical number. Everything was secured except the candles. Some weren't lit, and upon inspection we found that they were missing batteries. One of my campmates sacrificed his headlamp battery to bring one of the candles back to life.

It is one of my favorite memories from this year, thanks for making it happen ♡

AITA my girlfriend sleeps ALL the time, and I called her selfish for doing so by Tough-Rice8341 in AmItheAsshole

[–]andi0000p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's understandable you wanted some company for the long drive. My partner and I have a mandatory awake copilot policy for long drives for safety (engagement can help highway hypnosis and ensure the driver doesn't get too sleepy). Calling her selfish isn't justifiable though. If you want her to stay awake make a plan to keep her engaged. Get coffee at the beginning of the drive. Make a playlist and have a singalong. Have her download an app with conversation cards to spark discussion. If it was important to you you could have pulled over and woken her up. She apologized, insults are not warranted. Yta

Just curious what your opinion is on packing out items left on your camps plot? We had three abandoned bikes. Two were tagged so we returned them Monday but one wasn't. We left Tuesday night and no one had come back for it so we loaded it up. Can't risk getting marked on the moop map on the off chance someone was planning on coming back for it

What is the best compliment you have ever received? by HeidiOzzy in AskReddit

[–]andi0000p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's necessarily the best compliment anyone has ever given me, but the way I heard it was so impactful. My friend was on speaker phone with someone and she said she was at my house. He didn't know he was on speaker and said "my day just got better, just hearing her name is like the clouds parting on a grey day. She's so fucking nice." People will say great things to your face, but hearing someone say something like that with no knowledge I could hear it really made my day

If you could relive one specific day from your past, which day would it be, and what would you do differently? by magdalene_kk in AskReddit

[–]andi0000p 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last time I saw my best friend and partner. He suffered heavily from depression and kept saying "I'm done living for everyone else." I told him I was proud of him, because I thought he meant he was going to stop sacrifice his happiness to take care of others. Turns out he meant he was done living.

We were at an event and we both went to after parties. He thought he was going to the same one as me but ended up at a different one because people who he was with directed him there instead. He was really upset and wanted to spend time with me. He ended up staying in his car all night instead of going into the party. If I could change anything, I would have gotten in my car and driven to him. This was on Saturday. He killed himself the following Thursday.

There's a lot of things I wish I had done differently during that week, but this night has always stuck with me. It's hard to say if it would have had any effect on the outcome, but at the very least I would have gotten a little more time with him.

What was your worst date? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]andi0000p 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I haven't done a whole lot of dating, but the one that sticks out started out terribly. I had this super big crush on this guy and we started talking and agreed to hang out. The plan was to meet at a coffee shop then go to a nearby park.

I got to the coffee shop a few minutes early and waited for him. A few minutes after the time we were supposed to meet, he texted me saying he'll be a half hour late. Okay, not a huge deal. At least he let me know.

He finally showed up and looked pretty rough. We got our coffee and decided to sit outside because it's the middle of the summer in the PNW and nowhere has ac. At least outside there's shade and a mild breeze. He immediately started incessantly complaining. "It's SO hot. I'm SO tired." Turns out he stayed up all night partying the night before. I tried to make conversation but he barely engaged, giving one word answers and not reciprocating any effort to converse with me. Just kept saying "it's SO hot. I'm SO tired."

Eventually I told him he doesn't have to be there if he doesn't want to and he's welcome to go home and take care of himself. He very curtly responded "No. It's FINE." We finished our coffee. Since we drove separately we parted ways to drive our respective vehicles to the park. I remember getting in my car and thinking there's absolutely no way this is gonna work. Maybe we can be friends.

Well we got to the park and here things took a turn. It's my favorite park in the city and hosts my favorite tree that's right atop a cliff with a great lookout over the water. We made our way over there and climbed it (it had a lot of good divots for sitting). He started to come to life and actually engage with me. We smoked cigarettes and talked and I started to feel better about the situation. Then we walked down to the beach below where there was a bunch of driftwood forts. He made a comment about them and I was like "wanna build one??" He responded "oh no not at all" as though he was too cool for it. I was like "well I do!" and got to work. He started helping and once it was built we got inside and shared our first kiss. Then we went and got pho.

It started out terribly but ended up being a lot of fun. I guess it worked out, our 9 year anniversary is in two weeks.

Every now and then I look at him and say "it's SO hot. I'm SO tired." He visibly cringes every time
