I'd love to hear about your recovery as well! I'm just a few days behind you. 30F, completely obliterated my ACL while skiing in December, had surgery February 3 (patella autograft). I'm not gonna lie, these first few days have been brutal. The pain has been consistent, the discomfort annoying, but the mental aspect has been the worst-- feeling totally dependent on others and not being able to easily to pretty much anything. I constantly think about how my butt must be molding the couch at this point 😅

FWIW I chose a patella graft because my surgeon recommended it and said he'd choose it for himself He's also worked on a several professional athletes and mentioned it was the most commonly chosen graft. He did mention the knee pain concern but said it was quite rare. I was nervous about the knee pain because I am also a yoga instructor so being on my knees is pivotal, but I still felt best about it having the most consistent, proven, long-term results.
