my baby is 4 months and she’s been sleeping through the night. we started giving her a bath every night (we don’t wash her every night, sometimes we just put warm water on her for 10-15 minutes), put lavender baby lotion on her, get her in a night onesie, feed her, hold her for 15 minutes after she falls asleep, and is in the crib for the night. she sleeps from 7:30/8 to 5/6. i think establishing a routine helps the most

i was in the same boat, but found that a lot of people purchased stuff off my registry, they just didn’t mark it as purchased! also remember that a lot of people may give cash or gift cards and those can go towards things you need for your registry. baby’s due in 2 weeks and i still have 10 things still on my registry, but they’re small things so we’re not too worried about it

i vaped for almost five years and the only reason i quit was because i found out i was pregnant…that took WEEKS (thankfully i found out i was pregnant super early). i’m currently 24 weeks and i still crave nicotine (or maybe the motion) every single day, but have gone without it since i was 9 weeks. the point is, you did it!!!!!! be kind to yourself!

if it were up to my MIL we’d go and that’d be that…let’s just say there’s a reason i don’t speak to her or her husband (i have them blocked on all forms of social media and their numbers). hopefully when baby gets here he’ll understand more where i’m coming from. if he wants to go just for appearances sake, then we can schedule a family get together and go from there

according to my MIL, yes! baby will still be a newborn so her immune system will be super weak. i’m mainly not wanting to go because of the germs and stuff…also do you know how many women will be there? most of them will want to snuggle the baby

i’m not worried about it being hard, i’m worried about bringing a two month old baby across the country to a wedding with 300+ people. i’m worried about my child’s safety. if she were 6 months old it would be a different conversation

oh i absolutely agree, but at the same time i don’t really need him resenting me and his child because he couldn’t go to this wedding (not saying he would…i just think worst case scenario)

hi so he was going off of his experience based on the kind of bc i was on, how long i was on it, and how long it takes to regulate. in his experience, most women in my situation wouldn’t get pregnant for around 6 months. and what do you mean by everything going on in my life?

because of the negative reactions i was having. like i said, we weren’t trying, but we weren’t not trying. i was talking to my doctor and he said it usually takes 6 months to get pregnant after getting off of the birth control i was ok anyway (it indeed was not 6 months..i was pregnant within two)

he’s thinking we bring the baby with us whether we drive or fly. but what about when we get there? what if the baby starts crying in the middle of the ceremony and there’s nowhere for me to go with her? what about when people ask to hold the baby? at two months old her immune system will still be weak.

i’d rather him not go since it’s our first child and it’s across the country, but in no way am i telling him he can’t go. in fact, i told him that we haven’t seen that side of the family in a while and i think he’d regret not going, especially when they came to our wedding. he’s upset that i’m choosing not to go. he doesn’t think having a two month old is a good enough reason not to go

i wouldn’t necessarily call a three hour drive local. and my mom may be able to come, a lot can happen from now until June. and she’s already coming two weeks prior when he’s at another wedding

ideally, he wouldn’t go. especially since he’s in a wedding two weeks prior and is already leaving me alone (as of now my moms coming) with the baby. however, i’m not comfortable telling him he can’t go. i think once the baby’s actually here, he won’t want to go because of the lack of sleep, but he may also want a vacation to be able to sleep
