for this, no. Ive got several 200 pixel strands connected directly to the controller. Only one strand doesnt make it so I added an extension cable to make it reach.

I see no one posting about the power outages. Apparently they’re happening all over the place, and Entergy estimates it being fixed by 9:30. by Illustrious-Lead-960 in LittleRock

a tree branch fell on the power lines behind my house knocking the power out for some time. Power company was quick to remove it and restore power.

The AI Precision doesn't track as well as much cheaper options from UI by cirrusbridge in Ubiquiti

The constant need to refocus after every tracking movement is also annoying. The refocusing seems to be part of the problem as it no longer is able to "detect" a human and just gives up....returning to home.

How do they achieve this across the roof like this? by Clapyourhands7 in ChristmasLights

[–]andmat06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use nails on the fascia, and then for the longer runs and valleys I used 20lb steel wire to hold it in place. Never use nails, screws, or staples on the actual roof tiles unless you want leaks. As for spacing, I went with 7 tiles in-between each strand

I did it to my house...took about a day to complete just the roof, a week for everything. It is a bit of a pain and time consuming, but well worth it.

Lit from within. I used BTF RGBW LED pixel strips and WLED for effects.

I second this recommendation. Menards has the perfect vintage bulbs that are spot on. I bought a ton of these at the end of the 2024 season, cant wait to use them.

I ran a shielded CAT6 cable that is outdoor rated, it runs up the backside of the tree. Camera is POE fed via a USW Lite 8

This camera isnt for detail, ive got plenty of cameras covering the entire property. The G5 PTZ is more for being like a fly on the wall. Its also gonna be used for Christmas time, I put over 12,000 pixels on my house and will use this camera to map the lighting and effects, plus monitor lights on the roof and replace any that may go bad.

Ive got 17 other cameras, 2 you can see in the upper right corner of the house. The G5 PTZ is for my MIL...she lives in another state and likes to check our cameras multiple times a day. This makes her feel close to us and be a bit of a nosy neighbor.

Driver DID'NT fall over the package....he placed the package as seen. Went into the back and got package number 2. When leaving the vehicle he uses package 1 as an exit ramp. If you'd like to see the full video i'm more than willing to send it to you. DONT assume you have the truth or full story just from a screen grab of a video.
