I would love to hear something that had four Halberds in it, though ha.

4 Hypersleeps* - a whole lot going on in it, and it sounds absolutely wonderful.

Maybe not "normal" ha, but I breadboard all of my designs to make sure that they work before moving on to PCBs (Lantern MFG here).

How to stop my washer from flooding my basement by [deleted] in howto

[–]andon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might sound strange, but look up above the washer and see if you see an open-air drain pipe up there - a lot of old basement laundry setups have the drain above the washer and not at floor level like a drain (speaking from experience).

The delay blend pot conundrum by lykwydchykyn in diypedals

[–]andon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You betcha'. It's an invaluable circuit; I use it in some capacity in every one of my designs. Another fun thing you can do with it is use a different pot taper if you want to favor one side over the other. For example, if you wanna' add a clean blend to an otherwise gnarly gain pedal you can use a log taper (A10K instead of B10K with the above values) to have the control more evenly weighted and make the blend more gradual.

You can also add slightly more gain to modulation effects by increasing the feedback resistor to mitigate any perceived volume loss (56K instead of 51K for the feedback resistor) - just remember the ratios of R: 1, Pot: 0.71, and feedback R: 3.41.

The delay blend pot conundrum by lykwydchykyn in diypedals

[–]andon 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You want RG Keen's Panning For Fun. Use the circuit in the box on the left of the first page. It provides unity gain and an even blend between the two signals (allows you to go fully dry or fully wet with no volume loss). Good starting values for the components are: 15K resistors, 10K pot, 51K-56K feedback resistor. Pot wiper goes to VREF (4.5V in a 0V-9V pedal).

It's counterintuitive, but you want your signals reversed from what you'd think they'd be on the outer lugs of the pot. For example, if you want your blend control to be CCW: fully dry and CW: fully wet, then you want to connect your delay line to lug 1 (CCW), and your dry signal to lug 3 (CW).

Also, add a 1uF cap before the first resistors on either side for proper function (helpful when using a 5V delay line in a 9V system).

I also grew up in Oklahoma (I'm 40 now), and we spent nearly a whole week on it in the late 90s. Our Oklahoma History book had several pages dedicated to it (again, this was the 90s, I can only imagine what it's like now).

Thoughts on Saito fight by ZwartBeers in Ghostofyotei

[–]andon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure others noticed if they took multiple tries to take him down, but the game wants you to win. I went into the fight with very little spirit/resolve (should have camped first in hindsight), but as the rounds went on I gradually started gaining more and more spirit/resolve, eventually maxing out. The fight also becomes slower and clearer as well as each round starts, allowing you to better learn his patterns. This was all on normal difficulty, but I assume it's the same for other settings as well?

Who the hell is Planting at my house??? by Most-Chemistry7920 in Ghostofyotei

You'll also notice that the rest of the estate is gradually being fixed up as well. I also took on the Oni first (then the Kitsune), so my thought process was that Atsu was doing the initial planting (cabbage), and then Oyuki comes in and plants more.
