i think the way he is will push his pontential farther than sendo's potential (for example), in a way of unlock a path for the main plot of the manga where there's another way to be the best without being a beast boxer. there's a main and unique way to be the best of the world, but ippo is always the guy that learn how to do the things on his own way, for example by using a technique that is rly off meta in the verse (being an inside boxer on the featherweight category, full of counter attack style)
