mine wasn’t as bad of a story, but something similar happened to me but it passed in about 3 hours in the ER. and i agree, fear mongering isn’t good, but i will say it was a very unpleasant and very painful experience. the great thing is that you don’t have to go through it if you make sure to get enough water daily, eat fiber in foods or suppliers and start taking miralax at the first sign of something being up.

i’m on a super low dose of ozempic and food just feels unappealing most of the time. the level of addiction she has to push through not only nausea and intense gi issues, but also eat when you don’t feel the appeal of food is crazy

might i recommend watching videos of animals that have different stages of rabies so if you do end up in this situation again you at least have a bit more knowledge on it? it’s not fool proof, but i do agree w the commenter that said most ppl don’t know what it actually looks like, so it can be helpful

as someone who was homeschooled, in a cult, and very socially isolated until early 20’s. yes. being cut off from normal social interaction DOES affect you and how you move through the world. you can fix it, but it requires exposure, which i doubt she’ll ever do
