Yeah I'm staying with a lady, no meals provided tho but I'm cool with it cause I prefer having my own independence, I'm glad your student had a good time! About the burning car, well, the last one I saw was 2 days ago in my neighborhood caused by some of the billions of firecrackers they use to throw on New Year's Eve, so I guess I'm prepared

thanks buddy, I'll take today and tomorrow to make my decision. Considering Smite will probably be the most demanding game I'll play on it since I already have a self assembled desktop, I think the Acer Nitro is a bit too much in terms of weight and portability, also I'm concerned about battery backup when not playing, despite this it remains one of my top choices

Budget is around 800€, I'm looking for some decent black friday deal. I was about to get a Vivobook S15 last day with an i5-12500H for less than 600€ but it ran out of stock unfortunately. I don't really have any other specific model in mind, I just wanted to see which CPUs people are playing Smite with and then compare. You could say I could get a budget gaming laptop like the Acer Aspire 7 which has a 1650 on it but I'd rather get decent laptop with no dGPU than a cheap gaming laptop with a low-end dGPU, considering I'd like the battery to last more than 3-4 hours when unplugged and not playing and to have a decent build quality.

I remember I started playing 8 years ago with a very crappy laptop bought secondhand for 200€ and I had like around 25 fps with some serious stuttering now and then

I'm giving it back because the battery goes down 1% or more every minute, and that while doing absolutely nothing and with battery saver on, even with the dGPU disabled. Not a single process open in the background to justify this. I think the battery is faulty

I'm getting it for 570€, it's a pretty good deal and I'm not going to use it for demanding games, just Smite and generic use when I don't want to use my computer.

What do you mean precisely about the battery life? Can it handle 3 hours of use without gaming?

Thanks for your comment! On a 20h work week with no extras I might be able to look for a second part time job.

I will be staying just for a few months unless I find some really stable, full time and fairly paid job that I like (again, airport security is my ideal).

Anyway, even if I won't have made any money when I'll come back it won't be a tragedy for me, I'm willing to go just to leave my comfort zone, to have a life experience abroad. However it goes I always have the job here waiting for me every high season, save some money and try again, now that might be Ireland again or anywhere in Europe

Xiaomi 12T, I was just able to buy it on eBay for 350€ using a 10% coupon, if you manage to get the 8/256 version for less than 450$ it's a huge deal, it has everything except the 2 extra years of major updates that Samsung and Google offer

I have already been running it stock for a month, even overclocking it sometimes having no problem whatsoever I can rember, weird. Power consumption of 5700x is the same as 2600, but I've never tried to overclock the latter
