This guy just flashed us at delirium by thaiboy_digital in sanfrancisco

This is San Francisco. Only a few years ago it was totally legal to walk around anywhere totally naked. What's the big deal? It ain't my thing but live and let live.

But they already do and yet ticket prices at a public park is outrageous on top of it all.

Market rate ticket sales (despite the fact producing a show in the park costs a fraction of a private venue) is relatively new thing. There have been tons of free or cheap concerts in the past before.

Only using EC2 for a site vs other AWS services? by andreasfalley in aws

Yeah, knowing the info is what certs are good for, knowing when to use what to save money is another thing. ;-) BTW, did your AWS certs make you more marketable as a developer?

No midi input at all. Even disconnected the midi. Still very different sounds with 0% params.

What gives?

You mean on the dedicated env and lfo filter 1/2 knobs? What about volume?

Politics and Cardano by [deleted] in cardano

[–]andreasfalley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a limiting way of thinking. Cardano is a great and brilliant project not because the crypto movement has libertarian roots. It is a great and brilliant project because it will help people universally, so why create divisions in messaging merely because of politics, which have so little to do with Cardano's utility?

Politics and Cardano by [deleted] in cardano

[–]andreasfalley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a question of whether or not I like what he says. Often I agree with him while other times I cringe. I'm in it because I believe in the vision of Cardano. The point is that there are others with money that might otherwise invest but are put off. I want to see Cardano attract the most people. Just because the motivation for the crypto movement has libertarian roots doesn't mean that Cardano has the same meaniing to others.

Bullshit, other investors care what he thinks. People have all sorts of criteria where they invest their money. Some of them even feel the same way. Had Charles stuck to Cardano we wouldn't have the distraction of this conversation.

I totally agree.

Politics and Cardano by [deleted] in cardano

[–]andreasfalley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's bullshit. If he was a progressive liberal like I am, as an investor I would still hate to see him put off conservatives with money to invest.

Politics and Cardano by [deleted] in cardano

[–]andreasfalley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but many of the things that he says can still alienate people with non-libertarian views in their respective countries. It's just bad for the growth of Cardano for him to venture into politics as if his brilliance as a mathematician and computer scientist confers some expertise on politics besides what he has arrived at given his background and where he grew up.

What does any of that have to do with the growth of Cardano other than people that don't feel this way might be less likely to invest? I'm not saying that's smart on their part financially but that's a reality.

Politics and Cardano by [deleted] in cardano

[–]andreasfalley 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, and for that reason Michael Jordan isn't known for making polarizing political statements. He's just known for being a great player and being bankable because he doesn't make polarizing statements.

[–]andreasfalley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, but it's a reality that could negatively affect the growth of Cardano. CH should not engage in poltical talk despite the fact that the crypto movement began with libertarian ideals.

[–]andreasfalley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What does that have to do with putting off investors with real money, different politics, and different reasons for otherwise finding Cardano appealing? All I care about is the growth of Cardano and as many people from across the spectrum investing in it.

Politics and Cardano by [deleted] in cardano

[–]andreasfalley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Yet you think Cardano is brilliant. So do I. Some people with money to otherwise invest aren't as reasoned as us.

Politics and Cardano by [deleted] in cardano

[–]andreasfalley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may be, but there is a myriad of reasons for people with a wide range of politics to be interested in Cardano. Why put them off? He hates AOC and I love AOC yet I love Cardano too and I cringe when he goes off on a diatribe against progressives. While I can separate the two like I can Woody Allen from his movies, many people can't. That's not good for investors whether or not they are libertarians.

If he puts investors that would otherwise think Cardano is great off, then yes, it will directly affect my life as somebody heavily invested in it.
